Hello all! Just joined today! I'm 44 years old and I've been vaping a little over 3 years now. I originally started just hoping to "cut down" on the Camels but quickly found myself practically free of them. I say practically because to my dismay, I still catch myself sneaking one occasionally. That said, I've recently decided to make an honest effort and lay off the smokes completely. Hopefully, with a little determination and some time hanging around here, I can soon make that a reality! Have a great day, everyone!

Back in 2009 I started vaping and kept smoking. I figured it would help me cut down. After a few months I dropped vaping. Cigarettes were too delicious to me. Back then vaping was a totally different experience but I can’t help but think that for me doing them together was the problem. 21 days ago I decided to quit smoking and fully replaced it with vape salts. When the real bad cravings happen I up the nicotine level till it passes. Maybe have some higher nicotine vape on hand for those cigarette attractions. I know I’m not out of the danger zone yet but it’s helping me a lot. I figure when I’m full of nicotine the thought of a cigarette is repulsive. Hope this helps and good luck!!

That's not a bad idea. I think that's what I miss.....that blast of nicotine I seem to only get from a Camel Wide. I normally drip (3mg) on a mech but I may have to get myself a little pod system with some cranked up nic for when those cravings rear their ugly head! Thanks!

When I started vaping it got down from pack a day to 5 cigs a day. A couple months later I woke up one morning and said "I can do this" Been 6 months (except a few slips here and there) Lots of good folks here to help you. Welcome!

That's kinda where I'm at. I smoked 2-2½ packs a day for 20 years. Now, it's maybe 2 or 3 sticks a day, more or less. Occasionally, I will even go a few days without one. That's my goal, though.....to try and go a little longer each time. I truly believe if I can get a few weeks between me and that last cigarette, I could leave them alone for good. Thanks for the encouragement!
