New guy looking for a mod

Hey folks, I've been reading these forums for a while now, but I haven't posted before (or if I did, I forgot.) I started on a Blu, moved to a Joye 510, and then to an eGo, and now I use Riva batteries. I like them well enough, but then I started to use Low Res atties, which were great. I really enjoyed the vapor and the throat hit I got off of them. One problem, of course, is that they burn the 3.7 Mosfet batteries to death (eGo, vGo, Riva, etc.) I'm using standard resistance Boge cartomizers now, but I think it might be time to move up to a mod. Problem is, I don't have a lot of cash to spend on a 5v. I've seen some of the box mods, and they're neat, but I think I want something a little sturdier. I also don't want to spend a ton of cash. Does anyone know of any good sales that are going on? I missed out on a few during Black Friday, but maybe there are some that are going on right now that I'm missing. If I don't catch any, I'll just have to get my post count up so that I can grab some of the mods on the classified section (someone got a SP2/Thermo for $40. Hachimachi!) I guess I'd also like to hear about what mods I might be into. All of my PVs have been black. It's an aesthetic thing, I'm not really into the silver or metallic colors too much, but I can dig them. My hand size is between Large and Extra Large. I feel like that might be silly to include, but I've seen how big some of the mods are and I'm pretty sure hand size does make a difference with what mod might be more comfortable to use. Thanks to the excellent podcast VaporCast ( Welcome to VaporCast ) I've learned quite a bit about what mods are interesting, but also which ones are the "old stand by." From what I've gathered, I might be leaning towards a Black Silver Bullet. Any other suggestions? I'm also always looking for good juices, but they're a pain to find. I prefer coffee/dark tobacco juice with a strong throat hit. Right now I'm vaping Black Honey Walnut Mist from Vapor Mist, and it's actually pretty damn good. you got the right idea. as far as price goes. just keep a look out on the classifieds for the next couple days. many good mods are goin up for sale lately.

if you want something new, cheap $, and a good quality check out the "bombshell". its like a silver bullet, comes in black, can be 3.7v or 6v. and its a very nice price.

Yeah, sounds like your ready to step up to a bigger battery.
Can't go wrong with a BSB, it's a classic.
I use an Omega, made by the same guy that makes the SB.
I really like it.

GG mods, Precise mods, omega, and silver bullet are all top notch mechanical devices, there are no electronics to fail. I recommend looking for one of those in the classifieds section, they are a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. The Puresmoker mods are ok too but not as good as the above, i've seen the V3 and Icon cheap lately on there.

IMO the best deal right now is the GGTB at Vaporkings, 73 bux and it's pocket size, solid, all mechanical, 3.7v, 6v, 7.4v with the right batteries. Awesome mod i have one in the collection.

My suggestion would be the Maxi Roughstack from Madvapes. For $50 you can have a mod that'll go 3.7v, 6v, or 7.4v. It's built like a tank so durability isn't an issue. All parts are user replaceable if you do break it. The finish is rough so it'll hold paint if you don't like the dull silver.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. I had checked out the Roughstack before. $75 for a whole kit (batteries, charger, atomizers included) seems like a pretty nice deal. Then again, might be good to hold off until Christmas/after Christmas to see what sort of deals will be going on.

Personally I'd suggest the Maxi Roughstack as it's a lot more versatile than the regular Roughstack. Or you could get the Roughstack kit and the extra tube so you can do the HV options. The nice thing about the Maxi is that you can use 3000mah batt's with it if you want really long runtime between charges.

I wouldn't call it a "bombshell", but a really solid PV of English origin, is the Mako Maksi. Classic look, well made, and has both 3.7 and 5 options.

That sucks about no shipping to Denmark, Tim at Hot Vapes has probably the best customer service I've ever encountered in a retailer and I just got my First Big Battery Mod today. The Bombshell, and let me tell you it's the Bomb!!!
