I bought lots of batteries, tanks, nicotine, and lots of flavors for juices, I'm always charging batteries!
I have 9 batteries, & 1mod. I quit 48 days ago and I'll never go back!
This forum is so great, such helpful people, I'm so glad I have this site!
Congrats on your milestone!

You can't convert someone who's not ready. I was dual using for a while, until I finally got sick of it! It was a concious decision that I was done and a good setup which is all it took. My wife is not there yet. Congratulations!!

It took me 4 years to figure things out, I bought a analog looking thingy joined the ECF and didn't like the taste (tobacco) and it was just not as easy as it was 48 days ago.

I wasn't looking at quitting just slowing down, but I had a nephew who made a great juice (cinnamon red hot ) it tasted so much like candy I couldn't stand the taste of analogs anymore I had to put them down!

I figured out it had to be as easy as having a pack and lighter with me and once I had my stock I could stop!

Good luck to you, I hope your wife gets there soon, maybe buy her a few pretty special batteries :) most girlies like shiny's & pretties!

Hi, Dave, and congratulations on you choice to vape instead of smoke.

I'll testify to the quote "you can't convert someone who's not ready." I have a friend who tried to convert me for almost 3 years, and I resisted. However, in mid-March I found out that I was going to be retired in May, and shortly after that I decided that I would have to quit smoking analogs. So I called my friend up and started asking him all kinds of questions about vaping. He was so enthused about getting me converted that he even gave me a starter kit and some ejuice to get me started. He also gave me a link to his favorite vendor where he got the starter kit: myfreedomsmokes.com. So in mid-April I started vaping on a part time basis. Meanwhile, I had slowly stocked up on analogs, so I had 9-10 cartons stashed away to last me for a while into my retirement. But I was continuing to vape, so by about the 20th of June I was getting about 3-4 days on a pack of cigarettes. I opened my last pack on 6/22. When I got up on 6/26 I had one cigarette left in the pack. So after making my coffee I sat down to "enjoy" that last analog with it - sorta like a condemned man enjoying his last meal. But I didn't enjoy it! It made me cough (vaping doesn't) and it didn't even taste good, like a cigarette should.

I had gone to that site (above) as recommended and bought a couple more starter kits ($15 apiece) for backups. They consist of a 650mAh eGo-C battery with a CE4 clearomizer and a USB battery charger. I haven't found anything comparable at any other sites yet, so if you're interested I would definitely recommend MFS. I have branched out a little bit with the equipment, but not much. I'm totally happy with the set-up. Besides the 7 batteries sitting in front of me (6 with filled clearomizers) I have 5 more stashed away as backups. My friend told me that even the best batteries will eventually croak, so I stocked up. I'm a DIYer in the flavoring department, so I have about 40 30ml bottles ready to fulfill whatever flavor whim I have that day. I also have about a dozen 15ml bottles with my experiments. Now instead of smelling of ashtrays and cigarette butts, my apartment smells more like a donut shop or a bakery. (I can actually smell again!)

Sorry to get so long winded, but discovering something wonderful does sorta do that, eh?
