How's it going guys (and gals)? Just started my vape adventure two weeks ago after doing some research on ways to quit chewing tobacco. Was recommended a Kangertech Dripbox and so it began. I've cut down from 1.5 tins a day to just about 3 a week.

I can honestly say this has been a fun start and I'm looking fwd to turning this into a hobby. I really want to get an rta for on the road and at work and and a nice (budget friendly) mech to pair with my dripbox box and start chasing monster clouds.

Love reading the posts on here and look fwd to participating more.

Have a great weekend.

Hi and welcome. You don't say how you like to vape, but good RTAs are the Lemo2 for single coils, or the Merlin if they're ever released. For duals, I'd go with an Alleria in the lower power range and a Boreas for more watts. I really do not recommend mech mods, save for advanced users and people really skilled at coil building. Regulated mods are a lot safer and much-- like a lot much-- easier to use. Don't get me wrong, I'm a mekkie from way back and I love them. But it took me weeks to get one to work at all, and months before I could reliably build a topper to do what I wanted, and years to get good at it. I really think you'd be better off with a medium to high power regulated mod-- say Kanger Topbox through Wismec RX200-- for your next mod, and your foray into RTAs. I should also mention, if cloud is where you want to be, this is much easier to do with a regulated. In general, you can get more wattage out of a reg than a mech with the same number of batteries because a reg can apply higher voltage.

Well done firefighter, I'm new to vaping, only a week. Lol! Just quit smoking. It's just a brilliant feeling to finally conquer and win against smoking addiction.
This a brilliant solution, better than patches.
Happy vaping!

Well I made the next step yesterday. A friend and I went to the local shop and I went with a little upgrade. I opted for the IPV5 I'm black and paired that with a Mutation X RTA. So far I can say WOW what a difference. Learned a bit about coil building while I was there too. If anyone is ever passing through Quakertown PA I strongly suggest you stop and see the crew at Quaker Vapor! They are very knowledgeable and much more into education and safety than they are pushing product. Not to mention they have a kickass line of house juice. The Quaker Brew line rocks!! Check them out at www.quakervapor.org
