    Hello Everyone,

So obviously, Im new here. Ive basically spent the last three days immersing myself in the world of vaping. I started out with a starter kit from Blu. The Premium 100 kit, with a bunch of Cartos in both Vanilla and Java(I tried another brand of ecig recently, and I was really put off by the tobacco and menthol flavors, which is why I went with the actual flavors with the Blu). But, learning over the last few days that Blu is just the tip of the iceberg, I kept on researching. About different style of Vape gear, mods, juices, carto tanks and attys, RBAs.. Total immersion research.

To spare you the entire journey of what I thought I need to purchase, Ill paraphrase.

Friday night, I was ready to purchase:
    Ego-C Starter Kit
    Some sample Juice

After researching my face off, I landed on:
    Vamo V3 in Stainless
    Some Evods
    Some Soketech Pyrex DCT
Different resistance replaceable heads for both
    some sample juices

And on another order, a STUPID amount of different juices from Mt Baker Vapor, about 150 bucks worth.

    Heres the thing.

I was all set to grab some Ego Twist batteries and some Clearos, and call it a day. But then I learned about mods, and why going over 5volts is often very helpful, and better tanks, and cartotanks, and attys and rbas..

I know me. I dont like to buy something lesser just because its cheaper, because I WILL NOT be satisfied. With all of my hobbies, I always skip the intro part and get into something a little higher end. And even then, I end up upgrading further anyway. Im already putting together another order for some Attys and RBAs so I can try dripping as well. And Ive got the Provari in my sights too(even though I cant see how the one button system isn't bothersome. but, whatev)

I look at it like this.
-Yeah, its a little bit of a high entry cost. No doubt.
But I spent THOUSANDS on analogues. $140, every week, for the last 5 years, MINIMUM.(Analogues are ~10 a pack where I live)
So number 1) Im not even CLOSE to the amount of money spent on Vape gear as I am on Analogues. Number 2)if I can actually quit smoking cigs for GOOD, I really dont give a .... if I dont save one penny. It'll be the best money I ever spent.

Im totally amped right now. I cant wait to start vaping for real(not with a blu e cig, which, got me in the door, but not much else). This forum is awesome, I plan to spend some time here. Im not new to forums, just this one. Im active on a couple other forums that are of my interests(Coffee, Overclocking/PC Building, SimRacing)

I want to say a quick thanks!, and, Hello!

    Too long didnt read version:
I wanna quit smoking so Im gonna try vaping. My name is Jeff, Hello.

    Hi and welcome aboard !

I'm vaping for a little over 2 days with the Vamo V2 and protank and some other goodies but I keep
coming back to the pro tank over the other tanks.

So far I'm loving it and really think for the first time in my life ( after smoking a pack a day of Marlboro Reds for several decades ) I'm going to come out on top and win this battle...this is it !

I seriously think I can beat the habit with vaping and so glad I found this forum. I really didn't think it would work, but now I'm starting to believe IT WILL WORK !

Goodluck and don't give up :)

You are in for a lot of fun, but also some frustration. Try as you might, you can't avoid the learning curve. Just so you know, as long as it was in your budget you did not order a stupid amount of juice. It will take a while for your taste buds to heal after being abused by smoking and flavors may taste weird at first or you may not taste them at all. An interesting thing about vaping is that you may end up liking to vape flavors you can't stand to eat and vice-versa. Small sample bottles are a good idea.

Ya know, I might get my .... kicked from one end of ecf to the other, but I much prefer the menu system on my vamo to my provari. The provari is sturdy, but the menu is clunky. Not hard to learn, but it could be better.

Nahhhh, no one is going to kick you ...., basically is a matter of preference, don't have a Vamo yet so i can't comment on it. Just order one this morning so my wife can have a back up (Vamo V2) then i will be able to comment on the menu system, LOL.
