Hello everyone,

Im new to the world of vaping and am looking forward to learning more from those more experienced than myself.

I have been a tobacco smoker for around 15 years and have tried hard to quit numerous times with limited success.

I discovered vaping only in the last few weeks by way of an over he counter E-Cig called "E-Lites"

I was surprised by how much i enjoyed those first few puffs but quickly realized that this product was at the lower end of what is possible.

I researched and have since been using "GreenSmoke" but am again looking to upgrade (If thats the correct term)

I am thrown between two brands, namely HALO G6 and V2

Both brands sound good, but i really like the style of the HALO products but as i hail from the other side of the pond from where this company is based i do not qualify for free shipping and it's quite pricy.

I would love some feedback from anyone who has experience of these products. I am looking for strong throat hits and pleasant flavours, one of the reasons i want to try these is i hear they both provide a good throat hit and rich vapour.

Many thanks, regards Wayne..:)

K, congrats and welcome.

Warning Will Robinson Warning!!! Don't bother messing with another Cig-a-like product, they are all basically the same, and will leave you wanting, and the search for complete satisfaction will continue.

At the minimum I'd recommend an ego style battery with a tank system of some sort. What I'd really recommend is that you search around for variable voltage and wattage devices, find a quality product that you like and get it. Save yourself the time money and frustration of not being completely satisfied.

The cig a likes gets us here and opens the eyes to what is possible. But looking back I feel they are a joke, just MHO. I finally ended up with a Provari, and looking back, adding up what I spent on cig a likes and egos, said dang I could of had a Provari.

going from greensmoke to HALO G6 and V2 is not an upgrade, it's just switching brands. It's like going from camels to Marlboros.

Going to an ego style would be an upgrade, Going to a VV & VW device, now that's an UPGRDE

Good luck on your quest!

Vape on!

Any vapor shops in Andover? I see that Go Vapour UK Ltd is based there, but they haven't yet opened their B&M.

It's nice to walk in and check out what is available, get some hands on time, ask some questions. As a previous poster noted, you may be better served with an Ego/Evod type combination. Some tasty juice and away you go.

I've had very good luck with iTaste VV. Variable voltage and Variable wattage modes. Has a cool little readout that tells you ohms of your coil, voltage, puff count, and lets you set the power to your liking. You see starter kits for about $45. I run boge cartomizer or and iClear 16 quad wick clearomizer on it. Oh, and now a bridgeless drip atomizer, too. The drip thing is great for taste but you have to keep feeding it a few drops of ejuice every 6 or 8 toots. It will take all the ego and 510 thread cartomizers and clearomizers.

Don't go too simple to start with as you will do like I did and very rapidly want voltage control. Acutally, I put mine in wattage or power mode, this is like an automatic transmission for vaping. Just hit the button and it goes with about any carto or clearomizer.

I've posted this a couple places and i'm feeling like an iTaste VV salesman! I'm not, it just works well. I now have a mechanical mod, too, and I still pick up the itaste vv a LOT. The mod needs very specific ohms/resistance coils and the iTaste VV will run all but very low resistance stuff no problem, no fuss.

Take that for what it is worth. I'm pretty new to this but am a gadget guy and with my VV and the mechanical mod I think I can stop spending money for a while. Except on juice, of course. Who doesn't need 16 flavors and counting around?

An ego will be a much better choice. I'd avoid Halo kits, only because they don't use the 510 threading. What about when a Pro Tank 3 comes out, and you read all the reviews? CRAP! won't fit on the halo. Or when you step up to mods- You have all of these halo tanks sitting around...

When you say an "ego" do you mean the products supplied by this company?

There are loads of types..

Welcome! I'm also new to the forum (well posting that is, been lurking a long time).

I agree with previous posts, cig-alikes are expensive and will leave you wanting more eventually. An ego style (though larger then what your use too) will be much more satisfying, plus there are so many options for toppers to suite you needs.

I started with a GO-GO, great device but cigeasy is about the only vender that carries their stuff these days. So maybe a ego twist would be a good starter for you.

Should of said an ego style battery, they are available anywhere from 500mha-1300mha, and come pain and simple, just push the button and a variable voltage adjustment, not to be confused with a VV mod though, which are more high end, with replicable batteries. Even seen some ego style batteries with a digital read out. Lots to choose from.

My friend welcome and happy vaping to you.
Now that you tried cigalikes
You need more vapour
you need rechargable batteries
You need the upper part should be disassaqmbled and cleaned for re using ok?
So above friends show you the path to be taken.
Best beginner set is ego type batteries and my preference ce4v3 type heads. you find vivi nova better others prefer PT3 etc to infinity
better get 2 batteries
2 clearomisers
and some spare coil heads
These will be cheap and keep you busy for a while
