So I have been vaping for a few months now. I started out with cigs and e cigs combined, but now have transitioned to ONLY e cigs. My Halo G6 is great, it tastes really good, good throat feel, saves me a lot of money, and also the health benefits. To get to my question, I ONLY know of my G6 e cig. I did some research when looking into what model to buy and choose Halo ultimately. Yet, I am still quite new to a lot of terms thrown around here and models that I have never heard of.

Can anyone recommend a set up that would be better/cheaper than what I am using now, also, why you state what you are saying..like I said, I am still quite new to this market, but would like to learn, so the more descriptive the response, the more it will inform me. :thumb:

BTW, I am not looking for some of the Frankenstein like models that I have seen in some pics here, just something small, discreet, looks like a cig also...one that has good cardos and good batteries. My g6 is great for this, it is exactly what I am looking for, but then again, it does not mean that there is not something better out there for less money!!!

right now I am using Halo liquids and they are doing fine for me, but then again, I do not know much about this market, and as such, perhaps there are better liquids out there.

Hope that this helps to clarify my post a little further :)

I had a G6 with mini tanks when I first started vaping. My next move up was to an itaste vv3 (around $50 for a kit that includes charger, pass through, and a topper). Here is a link to one at FastTech, where it is pretty inexpensive. However, it can take 3 weeks plus or minus to get it delivered since it comes from China.

$39.54 Authentic Innokin iTaste VW V3.0 7-in-1 Variable Voltage Rechargeable 800mAh Electronic Cigarettes Set - vv-3.0 at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

I love mine and use it every day, even though I have a Provari, which is much farther "up the food chain" of vaping.

As for juices. I have some from Halo--love Kringles Curse and Shamrock, but there is a world of wonderful juice vendors a flavors out there. Go do some reading in the e-juice subforum and you will get lots of ideas (I got so many that I have bought way more juice than I will use in months!)

I don't know of anything small like the g6s, but I started off with a Kangertech Evod starter kit (came with two batteries, two clearomizers, extra coils and charger). I got the 1000 mAh batts, which are longer, but I got my sister the smaller 650 batts, and those suckers have good life! It doesn't look like a cig, but it's pretty unobtrusive.

I went backwards - had the regular evod batts, then moved to evod vv with the mini pro tanks, THEN got some g6s - I was amazed how much I missed the hand to mouth movement. The autos pacify that need, haha (and you're right - they are great little cig alikes)

I went with that starter kit, because I didn't want to begin with a cig alike, but I didn't want something confusing or too involved, and these worked on all fronts. I'm still not into rebuildables or mega vaporizers, VV is the most involved I'll likely get (maybe).

As for juices, I'll recommend Pirate Vapor's monkey shine, east india tobacco #1, and island tobacco; Aroma ejuice (EVERYTHING), heather's heavenly vapes (almost everything I've tried there is good, but especially their heavenly tobacco and their cinful pear); and alien vapor's honeywood tobacco (only thing I've tried from them so far - doesn't taste like tobacco, but does have a wonderful taste of those smarties candies). Though the standard "taste is subjective" disclaimers apply.

Halo G6 is an 808 cig-a-like.

808 cig-a-likes vary in price from quite inexpensive to total rip-off. It all depends where you buy them.

I have a set which works the same way as the "G6" product. I fill the cartomizers myself.

Fair play to anybody who is able to make 100% transitition, as they're not exactly "top of the league" for providing nicotine.

Since you like the G6 if you want to try something more look into buying a Halo Triton VV battery (And the charger) and a couple of their Triton tanks. All of your G6 stuff can be used on the Triton battery, so you won't have to worry about giving up what you already like.

Just remember, you have to buy the Triton charger with the Triton battery, DO NOT use your G6 charger on it.

Halo stuff is top notch, even their cigalikes. One of the few that are really good.

As for the Triton, I've got VV mods, I've got mech mods, I've got RBAs and clearos galore, but I still don't leave my house without my Halo Triton.

There are more inexpensive versions of the cig-a-like, but if Halo is working for you, there is no real need to change. GEt some blank cartomizers and maybe a couple of 808d threaded tanks. For more battery life a Triton 400mah battery should give you about an hour or so more battery life than a G6. The down side is that the Triton uses a nearly proprietary thread and that makes accessories hard to find.

An eGo mini should give you about 25% more battery life and fits a whole range of tanks and cartomizers. You can run everything from small 510 threaded cartomizers to 6ml eGo threaded tanks on the battery. So, when you want to be discreet you can and when you want to relax at home you can.

If you just want cheaper cartomizers and tanks for your G6 check out Cartomizers & Cartomizer Tanks - Kanger 808D-1 Cartomizers - EVcigarettes.com

If you are looking to find new sources for juice, and like tobacco flavors, check out "STP" Steeped to Perfection, MyVapeJuice.com. The steeped to perfection line is pre aged and ready to go right out of the mail. My Vape Juice also carries a huge list of naturally extracted cigar and pipe flavors. They carry other flavors, but I haven't tried them yet. I'm addicted to the cigar vapes.

I also have the G6 and though I was happy with the battery itself, and did like the mini tanks I just wasn't completely happy with them. I just received the Kanger E-Smart Bottom Coil 5 KangerTech E-smart 510 1.2ml BCC Pure Clearomizers
I am liking them a lot more than I ever liked the Mini tanks from Halo I believe they are kanger made though its an older top coil design. Better flavor and much better throat hit and vapor porduction. I did have to buy a 808d-510 adpater which you can get here Thread Adaptors
Seem to be very well machined and doesn't actually look that bad on my G6 batteries. I have the extra long and the normal length ones. Absolutely no leakage out of the mouthpiece as they fill form the bottom and you can replace the coils so they will be cheaper in the long run as well get different ohms on the coils to get the type of vapor that you prefer. I'lm loving it so far, I am new to vaping so they may be junk but so far I am extremely satisfied.

2 weeks 1 day no smoking WOOT WOOT!!!!!!

First of all, welcome to ECF jUsoNeaZn. :)

I started with a Blu kit, but it wasn't enough to get me off analogs. Then I got some cartos from a company called The Magic Mist, and they were a good step up from the Blu cartos - but still not quite good enough to make me leave behind the stink sticks.

Then I got my Halo G6 kit, and the day I received it was my last day of lighting up. Others here are much more knowledgeable than I, but from everything I've read, Halo is one of the best brands of cigalike* out there. The G6 rig was plenty good enough to get me off analogs in flavor, throat hit and nicotine delivery. Other brands I've seen a lot of positive comments on include V2, MigCigs and Green Smoke. But I suspect that you're not going to experience a significant improvement over your G6, at least in the hardware category.

Regarding e-liquids, you should be able to vape in your G6 just about any brand/flavor of juice out there, at least with a fairly neutral (50/50) ratio between two of the primary ingredients in e-liquids, PG (propylene glycol) and VG (vegetable glycerin). Many juice vendors advertise their PG/VG ratios on their websites (although Halo is one that doesn't), and some even let you select the ratio you like the best. The three brands I'm buying from over the next few weeks are going to be Mt. Baker Vapor, Ahlusion and Nicoticket. These brands are touted more often than most others on ECF.

Bottom line - I'd recommend sticking with your G6 unless/until you want to venture into the larger and more complex vaping devices. But go ahead and venture out for juices, and scan ECF to find some really good recommendations.

* -- "Cigalike" = vaping devices that at least somewhat resemble actual cigarettes.

P.S. - If you'd like a slightly warmer vape than you're getting with the standard Halo cartomizers, I'd recommend trying their "LR" (low resistance) blank cartomizers. Lower resistance allows more electrical current to be delivered, resulting in a warmer vape. I find Halo's regular cartos to be a bit too cool with most of the flavors I've tried. (Not to imply that everyone has the same taste preferences.)
