It should come apart. First time is the hardest. If you have an old, useless battery to use as a tool, use it! Or this could happen: CE 4 Plus cleaning t6084

thanks - gonna try to make a setup like urs..........since my e juice DIy aint working too good (decided to take a break from it) - am loving diy with coils n wicks...plus if the zombies take over.............lol

Nice work, indeed.
:)

Unfortunately (not being a machinist) I kind of gave up on CE4's as thoroughly cleaning them and pulling them apart in a vice was just too much.

Since switching to Vivi Nova's I have no issues cleaning and I get at least as good a throat hit and taste with plenty of vapor. and NEVER A LEAK. I found CE4's finnicky.

I'll probably move on to vivi novas once I depleted my current clearos. I do have the rebuildable ce4's now, which screw apart, but still using one non rebuildable.

Well, I've been battling two ce4 rebuildable clearos for the past week. I had some replacement heads that I switched to and ALL of them had a nasty burnt metal taste after 4-5 puffs, as if I was just burning the coil (with tanks full!). I tried everything, priming first, flipping upside down, removing/adding wicks, minimum voltage, different liquids, readjusting the coils... I'm assuming I received some sub-par replacement heads.

I gave up and ordered some mini Vivi's.

Some new toys to celebrate 37 days smoke free, $195 not spent on cigarettes:

Mini Vivi's, and a dress up collar (glad I bought it!):

With and without dress up collar :

^looks much better and feels better in the hand. Worth the $3 all day long! I must say also that the mini Vivi's are MUCH more well built than the ce5 clearomizers I've been using.

Now, onto researching for re–wicking materials for those rainy days :)
