Here’s my story...............Wife and I were both smokers when we met 17 years ago. Since, we have both quit and started up again a number of times. Have never seemed to both be able to quit at the same time for any length of time. I went 6 years the first time. She has had a lot harder time with it, 2 years being the longest she has quit. We both like some aspects of smoking, but really dislike others.......................I had been off cigs for maybe 3 years this last time and she started smoking the little flavored cigar/cigarette things, that I can’t stand the smell of. I recommended she get and e-cig, she said she had already ordered one................................well I think she got a faulty product.....................she wasn’t very impressed with it but was using it and not smoking. So I got curious and thought I would get one, do a little experimenting.
So I signed up for one of the............................. "just pay shipping" trial offers..............knowing there would be strings attached. Long story short it cost me less than $8 to test drive a Smoke 51 trio w/ 5 pre filled tobacco carts.
NOTE: I DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE OFFERS, UNLESS YOU ARE READY AND WILLING TO SPEND SOME LESS THAN QUALITY TIME ON THE PHONE WITH SOME VERY RUDE PEOPLE.
So....the 51 trio was a nice product, the wife liked the way it worked, only having an apparent dud to compare it to. I really liked the flavor and enjoyed vaping it. So I did some research and decided it was a 4081. Order my wife a 4081 super mini kit from TW. The smoke 51 is not a 4081 (different threads on the atty/battery). Wife said it worked good, and was happy with it................so I order the 5 pack of extra batteries and 5 pack of attys from TW (no warranty other than 48 hours to make sure they aren’t DOA). So I start charging batteries and testing attys. They all had a terrible acrid burnt taste and vapor would burn the back of my throat like smoke from an electrical fire. Not like the throat hit from the Smoke 51. Not happy. Wife hadn’t bothered to mention this till I said something. Wife has been using the one she has for about a month. Has gotten better but still not good.
Found out there are cartomizers for the 4081, I was hesitant to go this route because the first dud she bought used cartomizers. I just got a pack of empty 4081 cartomizers and 6 sample bottles of juice.
So far so good. I like the performance of the cartomizers. I like the cigarette style of the super minis, I like vaping. Am going to set the wife up today with cartomizers for her 4081 bats.
Now I need to find a juice with the great flavor and good but mellow throat hit and pleasant after taste of the Smoke 51 regular tobacco flavored carts.
So far I have found products with terrible taste, very harsh throat hit. Decent taste little or no throat hit. Decent taste and throat hit, bad after taste......................................
Anyone used Smoke 51 and know of a juice that is compairable?
Thanks for taking the time to read my looooooooong post.

Have you tried running those attys under hot water for about 2 minutes? I had the same problem with a new atty, its the primer fluid they use. Its just whatever they use to keep it moist. You can try to clean them really good and let them dry, and try to use them again. So far I am leaning more towards cartos myself.'

Also halo has really good juice if you want more of a tobacco flavor. You can get a sampler tin from halocigs dot com.

...don't know anything about S51 but, RY4 and 555 are two tobacco flavors that are both mild, rich and very popular...I use the RY4 as an all day vape...many of the vendors listed in the Forum Suppliers list carry these two flavors(all will be somewhat different from each other)...I sure others with familiarity of the unit you have can point you to specific vendors.......

Atomizers come with primer on them like machine oil and it tastes really nasty. You need to get that off. One way is * blow the atty out into a tissue, prime the atty bridge /\ with about 3-4 drops of juice and let that soak in for a few minutes, using an empty cartridge vape that mostly off without inhaling, repeat from *. Then repeat again but try inhaling. (be careful not to let juice leak through to auto batteries)

Be careful with automatic batteries - they can be damaged or killed by juices leaks much more easily than manuals. I think AZSMokeFree.com has manual RN4081 batteries which are probably fully sealed on the end (basing that on one manual Rn4081 I saw). That would be a great addition next time she needs a battery. manuals also make it easier to get a good hit.

And NoSMokeVA.com has a great roomy PCC (charging case) that accepts either 510 (normal 510 like Joye) or RN4081. Search there for PCC - the $29 one is the PCC alone. It works with both because the battery just pushes in (not screwed in).

Tobacco juices - I don't know. I do know I get the best life out of other models of cartomizers with thin juices - I use juices with 20% or less VG and I avoid juices that drop a lot of flavoring sediment in the stuffing (will shorten the carto life and ruin the drag)

Assuming 51 uses cheap Chinese juice, try some of the Dekang Chinese juices? At liteCigUSA.net look through the PG juices - maybe USA mix or USA mix reds or there may be one called tobacco. For sweet there is RY4 and 555.

Smoke 51 Trio was my first kit also. The closest I came to the flavor of the Smoke51 cartomizers was a juice called 'USA Mix" and "Tobacco" from two different vendors. You won't get the plastic-tasting finish of course but they're close in tobacco taste. The good news on Smoke51 is that they can handle 510 cartomizers so you can still use that kit too. I'd suggest regular resistance Boge brand. The low resitance ones would run down your batteries in a couple of drags. I've got bottles of those juices if you'd like them. I've moved on (7 months in tobacco/smoke free). A lot of sharing goes on around here. Once you're past 5 posts you can send private messages.

The mouse gave great advice on auto batteries. As long as you don't over-fill the cartos you should be fine. A new member posted yesterday that he's celebrating his one year anniversary tobacco-free and did it with a Smoke 51. Good luck to you.

Thanks for all the great info.

I no longer have the Smoke 51 trio. It was a trial offer, and to keep it I would have paid $110 for a kit S51 sells for $30!

I will try cleaning these 4081 atomizers to see if they will improve. But the 4081 cartomizers are working very well, easier to fill and hold more juice so the attys will either be kept for “just in case” or traded off, if I find someone who wants them.

I have some 555. It is good but not quit the one.
I also have some Red Box. Didn’t care for it. Added some TW 0mg Menthol to it and it is much better.
Virginia is closer. Has the best throat hit so far. It is missing something though.

I will try the other flavors recommended. Thanks.

Sampling different flavors is going to be much more enjoyable with these cartomizers.

Cartomizer cleaning is something that only some succeed at. The drying is the harder part. Some clean them then bake them in a slow oven (175-200 degrees) for several hours. Most people don't clean cartomizers. They are meant to be disposable. You can test juices on an atomizer and only put ones you like in cartomizers. Then keep the carto damp so it doesn't get singed. I can get up to 10 days use out of one cartomizer (Boge 510 on a manual 510) and then I just put it in a bag in case I am ever decide to try cleaning.

You can get blank RN4081 cartos at Vaporkings.com and I think GoodProphets (their Double Deuce cartos) and maybe AZSmokeFree.com (make sure you get ones that say they are soft cap for easy filling). You can get prefilled ones at Njoy (and some 7-11's) and Smokestik. RN4081 is sort of a second tier model - a decent model but not much stuff available for it.
