Hi all,

i'm new to vaping and have found lots of good answers hear. This is a great community and forum. I have been smoking for about 18 years now and tried all sorts of stuff to quit but no luck at all. All that has changed from vaping been off cigs for 18 days now. My brother got me an eGo-t used that for about 3 days or so then bought an eGo twist and have been using that with evods. So far been happy that am off cigs. Anyway i wanted to buy the protovapor xpv or vapor shark dna 30 or hana v3 when i find them in stock. So i bought the aspire nautilus after reading great reviews of them and also watching videos of them. Thought i buy them first over the kayfunn since you have to build your own coils and am new to this stuff anyway. Well after getting the aspire nautilus all was working kind of fine apart from less to no flavor at all. Compare to my evod then it stoped working at all no vapor was coming out. Then it came out after few mins and same thing again. Then put the new coil in that came with the box. Was working fine for a while not even an hour of use then same thing happens again. Plus sometime it shoots e liquid from the aspire nautilus. Any idea if the heads are faulty. Have contacted the seller and waiting for a reply. [h=1][/h]

I can't comment for the lack of flavor. I love my Nautilus for the flavor I get from it after upgrading from a protank 3. I have ran into the leaks you describe though.
I inspect my coils for a little white O ring on the bottom post, make sure they are screwed securely into the base and when I mate the tank and the base I snug it down by turning the silver knurled part the driptip rather than turning the glass.
I use my Nautilus on a Itaste SVD and have also noticed that when my batteries are starting to die I get more leaks, so that might be another lead. With the leaks, I have found by turning to the largest hole and gently blowing into the tank via the driptip will clear anything that has leaked past the coil.
Hope any of this helps.

Let me get this straight.

You're using an Aspire Nautilus with eGo batteries?

Yeah, that's definitely not going to work well. With a Nautilus you're going to need to be in the 4.5 volt or 6+ watt range to get that tank working right.

Eh maybe I am doing it wrong but I usually don't take my naut above 4v cause then it starts to taste burnt.

That's why I said OR 6+ watt. You can achieve the necessary power either way, by increasing voltage or by increasing wattage.

My main point is that a standard 3.7v eGo C isn't going to provide enough power for dual 1.6 or dual 1.8ohm coils. It will work, but it's going to be really weak with low vapor and flavor production. The Twist will be better because the OP can increase the power, but the Nautilus was really made for mods, not little eGo batteries.

Am using it with eGo C Twist at 4 volt and even tried 4.8 volt but nothing happened. Am just charging at the moment after finish will try it again. If that doesn't work. Will have to use evod for the time being untill vapor shark dna30 or the others are in stock. Thanks

If the twist at 4 volts is still doing nothing then you may have bad heads.

A standard eGo battery will be weak, but you'll get something out of it. Getting failures on a twist at over 4 volts though, that sounds like bad heads. It should be working fine on the twist at that setting.

Thanks for your reply. Gonna try it at full charge if that does not work. Gonna have to buy some heads and hope i don't have the same problem. Or hopefully the seller gets back to me and sends me some new coils

When you press the button and hold the mouthpiece up to your ear, you should hear the sound of the coil vaporizing liquid.

If you hear absolutely nothing, then you have an electrical problem.

If the coil is flooded, you should hear a low burbling sound.

When things are just right, you hear a snap crackle pop, like drops of water spattering on a hot frying pan.

Thanks for the information. Didn't know this before . I will test this out once the battery is fully charged

Just finished full charge. Installed the 1.6 coil first it was making the snap crackle pop sound then it stopped making any sound. Then installed the 1.8 coil it was making the the snap crackle pop sound but after 6 seconds the ego c twist battery starts flashing blue lights 5 times then stops. It does this every 6 seconds. And there is low vapor coming out at 4 volt to 4.8 volt. Tried my evod same thing as every 6 seconds the ego c twist battery starts flashing blue lights 5 times then stops. But with my evod there is a lot more vapor coming out. any idea what happening

your ctwist manual should be to tell you what the flashing lights mean, ive have the above problems before on my ladies setup (not nautilus, it was a aerotank), recharged the battery changed heads and it was all back up and running, i had to do this with my nautilus as well, wasn't a big deal, but once i switched to an SVD rather than an ego style setup the nautilus really started to shine.

hope this helps alittle

It's a safety cut-off. Most egos will only allow a fire for a specific period of time. The flashing is warning you you've kept it fired too long.

The aspire being dual coil does need more power to make it work as designed. You will be able to use it on your twist, but as you have noticed it will not perform quite as well as it should.

My biggest worry is if the battery is damaged due to liquid leaking down inside the 510 connector;

where did you get the 4 volt to 4.8 volt ? Oh; is that from reading off the bottom of the twist?

from your post the battery isn't even a month old so it shouldn't be going dead.

One problem I was having with my first set of batteries, it turned out one of my chargers wasn't even working.

Yes reading from the bottom of the twist. Tried 4 volt and 4.8 volt no luck at all plus some times it shoots liquid from the driptip
