hello everyone, I have been vaping 13 weeks now and im so glad im off the cigs, I started with a ego c twist and now im using a itaste vtr. I have been getting into making my own juice just a little. I got some flavors from Capellas. I also bought Capellas VG and PG and there 70/30 mix (70 VG) im using the e juice me up calculator (seems easy enough) I made a banana juice 70/30 18mg nic and 20% flavor (FYI, the local vape shop uses capellas and they told me to go 20%) trial and error right) well it tasted really really bad, it was a good flavor but the vg/pg tasted like it had some other chemical in it, so I was wondering if anyone else has used vg/pg from capellas. The local shop told me today that vg/pg needed to be 99.9%. So I looked on there website and the bottles and nothing , however it does say concentrated on the vg and pg bottles. any info would be appreiciated, Thanks.

I use Capella flavorings, but I don't use their base mixes ... I am DIY'er of 2 + years and most will tell you to begin your mixes at 10% and work up or down. Banana flavorings tend to be strong, and using too much flavoring can often result in a chemical taste (while some taste like chemical regardless of how much or how little you use). You should begin with small batches 1-2mls , that way if they juice is totally gross you will not have wasted a lot of your base.

All Capella taste like chemicals to me at any%. Maybe try another vender of some of the same flavoring to compare. Flavrists apprentice is a good one to try n see if it is the pg/vg or the flavoring. In my experience its almost always the flavoring. You can also try reducing the % in the Capella flavors.

I cut the banana down to 2% and gonna give it a couple of days, I was using the irish cream flavor and that's where I was getting a strong bad taste, I guess its another strong flavor......starting over and going lite on the flavors. I had bought the cinnamon coffee cake a couple of weeks ago and no problems with that one, my wife loves it. I assumed I could mix other flavors the same way, oh well live and learn....thanks everyone for your replies and guidance. I will give an update next week when I get back home.
