Hey all, new to the forum and very new to vaporizing. I went out and bought the ZMAX by Sigelei this past Saturday. I got that with a Pro III tank from Kenker (mis-spelled??) Tank and a few juices that were sold at the kiosk in the mall I bought it from. I ended spending about $130 all together for the ZMAX, tank and juices. Bad?? Good?? How are these products if anyone out there knows? I have been enjoying tem quite a bit since I got them though I must say. I have smoked cigs for almost 20 years at about a pack a day. I wasnt even really trying to quit, but I kept hearing about these vaporizers and thought, why not, I'll try one out. So I got one. That same say I smoked 3 cigs. The next day (last Sunday) I smoked one cig. Took three drags and put it out, tasted horrible. Last was my last cig since today. I have to say that I have been sucking on the ZMAX almost every ten min unless Im at work.

So in y'alls opinions, is the ZMAX a good vaporizer? Did I pay about the regular price for one. Or is there a better one out there for me to look at and a more inexpensive one. Are these Pro tanks any good? I lost one of the rubber gaskets in my Pro Tank III and went back and got another one, but they gave me a Pro Tank II that STARTED LEAKING on me today! GRrrrrrr. Is that common on the Pro tanks by Kanker? And just how safe is vaping for me? I know its not "healthy", but I cant imagine it being anywhere close as unhealthy as cigarettes are...... Glad to be here and cig free!! :)

I don't own a zmax, but I've heard good things about them. If it's working for you it's good!

You can google each product online and compare prices, but $130 for all of that doesn't sound too bad. Vaping gear can usually be had cheaper online, but B&M stores do have to pay overhead, and you have the added benefit of being able to try things out and get help if needed. In general, I will buy from a vape store if the price is not too much higher than what I can get online. If the prices are drastically marked up (like if they are charging 2x online price) I would not support that vape shop.

The maker of your clearo is Kanger, btw. You got pretty close! ;)

The Sigelei Zmax is an excellent APV for the money. Online prices for V3 and V5 range from $40-$60 from US vendors (body only).

You didn't mention which model Sigelei Zmax you are using. Sigelei makes quite a few. The latest versions of the Sigelei Zmax Mini, V2, V3 and V5 all feature removable top caps and one-piece stainless steel 510/eGo connectors.

The Sigelei Zmax V3 and V5 people tend to hang out here...

I have a question to those have worked with the pro tanks, if it's leaking, is there a chance I'm filling it too much. It seemed to work fine the last couple days but lately I've been mixing a flavored juice with a tobacco juice and it's been filled up almost to top so maybe that's why it's leaking??

Once you get your post count up to 15 you can post at the ECF link above. Any posts you make here will count to that total. You are going to like the Sigelei.

What's this for?? Like posting 15 times is beneficial? I see they want to make sure it cuts down on spam too.

I've already modified it with electric tape, to help so it doesn't slide all over the place while driving. I also have the tank it came with it on there now. I don't like it nearly as much as my pro tank, but that ones leaking so I had to use this one as I'm at work.

Own a Sigelei Telescope Z-Max V3, love it. You will too (I predict).
The protank leak. All BCC tanks will occationally. The atomizer is the most likely source of leaks due to being submerged in juice, required to injest juice, but not too much.
Leaking can be minimized by increasing the voltage/wattage you are vaping at, taking less forceful draws. A forceful draw draws more juice into the atomizer than it can vaporize and eventually begins to leak/gurgle/create less vape.

I know a guy who's first mod was a Provari. He bought a ZMax when they came out and he uses it as much as his Provari. That, to me speaks volumes about the ZMax,s quality. In fact, the last time I saw him, he had both on him. Your ZMax should serve you well. Congratulations on getting a fine device.

The 15 post minimum is to prevent spam. A lot of spamming is done automatically by bots that cruise internet forums. The New Members Forum and the General E-Smoking Forum get a lot of traffic but forums like Variable Voltage APV Forum are where you find the experienced vapers.

Yes, over filling will cause it to leak.

You definitely jumped in with both feet! I started not too long ago myself, but not at nearly that level of equipment.

Did you end up returning the Pro Tank 3, or getting the Protank II in addition to it? If you've still got the Protank 3 and it's the little rubber "cup" that you lost, the other atomizer head, assuming it came with one, will have one that you could swap onto it.

Beware that swapping one of these cups from the Protank II atomizer heads to the Protank 3 atomizer head won't work, they're different sizes. That piece not being there or being torn will definitely cause it to flood.

I've got the Mini versions of both the Protank II and the Protank 3 and really like them. Once all of the seals are in place, you shouldn't run into too many leakage issues. If you do, and it's been a while since you replaced the atomizer head, that's probably the cause, or at least a good place to start.

Good luck with quitting!

I did notice one other thing too, if I screw my tank down too tight, it doesn't work. I have just get it on there snug and it works fine. Too tight and it won't even light or whatever you call it.

So should I go home today and see if I can fix the leak by following y'all's suggestions or just take it back and tell them it's leaking? I already lost a rubber gasket to my pro III and I went back up ask them if they could just sell me or give me a gasket, no dice. I had to buy a whole other tank. I can see the warranties are non existent with most of this but the batteries really.
