Brand new to posting on the forums, but a long-time lurker on ECF. Just wanted to introduce myself.
I'm Jon. 24-years-old. I started smoking analogs on my 18th birthday (have no idea why I kept doing it) and I smoked for 6 years.
My best friend has been vaping for almost 5 years now. Back in 2009, he came to visit while I was stationed overseas and ordered me a Yeti 510 starter kit. I absolutely hated it. The thing was just a pain and tasted horrible. Plus, being overseas, I had to order everything online and it took a few extra weeks. That was a major turn-off for me. Every time I would come home on leave, though, I would try his new PV and thought they were pretty good.
Well, I got out of the military in late February this year, and within a week of being back home stateside, he dragged me to the new B&M shop in our area. I got set up with an eVic, some iClear 30's and a bunch of juice to try out. And now, I'm close to hitting my 90-day mark of being analog-free. Needless to say, I've never felt better. Mentally, physically, socially. In every way.
Now, I never go into anything half-cocked if I have a choice (hence me starting my vaping journey with an eVic
), so all I did for the first couple of days was research, research, research. And, of course, I was constantly getting led back to this forum. I can't even explain how much I have learned from lurking on here. So, though this is merely an introduction, this is also a huge thank you to the members who have replied to others' questions that were similar to my own unasked ones. And also a thank you for allowing me to become educated enough to understand everything I do about vaping. I can go into my local shop and have an educated conversation about vaping, liquids, clearos, some mods, etc. using mostly what I have learned here.
Now I'm rocking my trusty eVic and my new MVP (which I'm loving more and more.)
So, I plan on "paying it forward" and helping others when I can.
Oof. That was a novel!! Sorry about that.
