Hi there. I've been reading a lot here lately. I've been vaping for about a month now. A result in someone ratting us out at work for sneaking smokes. It was the absolute best thing that could have happened to me! I have managed to get my sons that smoke converted in this short time also. Needless to say, I'm even happier about that.
I've enjoyed so many things here, as well as felt totally lost with building coil talk as well as battery talk lol.
So hi all. .. this is me.

Hi to you. This is my first day here, and been vaping for two months. I tried BLU on a whim and was so pleased with not even having an urge for a cigarette within two days, (and not at all since), and I've become a true believer in vaping. I've already saved hundreds of dollars even though I've upgraded equipment, liquids, etc a couple times since my BLU experience. This forum has already helped me greatly (I've even begun mixing my own e-liquids thanks to ECF). Thanks for being here.

My two-month progression:

BLU starter kit. Within a week my charging pack stopped working. I immediately visited a local tobacco store and was guided to a generic pen-type starter kit with a 650 mAh battery, two top coil tanks with non-replaceable coils, and wall/usb charger for $30 plus tax, and three bottles of flavored e-liquids (after taste testing in store). BLU replaced the charger pack after a week, and I rarely use it now except for travel convenience. I DO refill the BLU cartomizer with the juice of my choice (have well over 2500 vapes off the very first cartomizer with no bad taste or coil failure).

Grabbed a 1100 mAh battery and a couple bottom coil clearos which gave me a power backup and multi-tank flavor availability. Trying some new flavors I found that I preferred the bottom coil atomizers ... UNTIL I won a raffle for a new "ORBIT Vortex" kit with a 3 voltage position 900 mAh battery, larger TopCoil (3 ml) tank. The ability to adjust voltage seriously improved some flavors and tank configurations.

I hate the Orbit tank (and the battery's non-universal tank connector), so bought a true variable volt 900 mAh battery (adjusts throughout the 3.2 - 4.8 voltage range). At the same time, I copped a dual bottom coil Kanger Protank 3 Mini. I LOVE the ProTank 3 Mini with dual coils ... and the Gravity branded Variable Voltage battery flawlessly allows me to tailor any tank/juice combo to it's best.

Sooo ... now I guess I've grown into a hobbyist ... visiting ECF, YouTube and elsewhere for more and more info about this great new hobby. Even bought VG and flavors for mixing my own ... and at some point will likely move on to nicotine and PGliquidsalong with more flavoring options and mixing juices totally from scratch. BTW ... My BLU cartromizers filled with my own mixes are vastly superior in vape volume and taste and nicobuzz than the one flavor that I tried from them (Cherry Crush). It's now VERY impressive.

Best of all, I have ZERO interest in ever smoking tobacco ever again.

Hi and congrats on the switch!
I wish I could get my Dad to switch but he's hesitant to try anything new...
Congratulations on the switch to vaping. Lori as far as your dad goes us old farts just have to make up our own minds as to whether to stop burning the leaves. I smoked for 48 years at 2 PAD and had 2 heart attacks because of smoking. I also was hesitant about switching my son had been vaping for about 5 years and had tried to get me to switch. December of 2013 is when I had my 2nd heart attack that is when I again tried to stop smoking. I was headed right back to cigarettes that is when the wife told me she wanted me to stick around for quite a while longer. So I talked to my son and gave vaping a try to my surprise I had no cravings at all. And guess what I have not burned any leaves since.I hope hearing this from a old fart it might just help him make the change. Good luck and happy vaping.

Wow thanks everyone so much. .I typed my hello, went back to work and came back to a fantastic welcome...
I have definitely spent more than I've saved so far... but it's so worth it.
I have an ego t starter. It was my first. . Along with a 24/7 starter. Then quickly went to an innokin I taste vv 3.0. Have a spinner coming. Clearos? Lots of variety. I have been really lucky as I have not been ripped off at all. I actually won an innokin mvp energy series set up with a box of coils and carrying pouch and a bottle of liquid from the vape store that just closed here. It will still be a week or so before I get it, but I'm excited.
Thank you all so much for the welcome. I am constantly confused as I read here, but at the same time I've learned so very much.
