First check that the Zmax is putting out the correct voltage. If so, try another topper and see if you still get a burnt taste. If so, try lowering the voltage, or try another juice and see if the vape improves. These things are always a process of elimination, and first, you have to figure out where the culprit is. Good luck to you!

Was fine anywhere i should set my power.....maybe higher or lower......im thinking possible the liquid.....unless my power to volt ratio is doing it i ust dont want to burn out thos coil aswell broke for 2 weeks

Hey Chris and WELCOME!

In my opinion, it's the mini nova. I have a few with all different ohm's and I get that taste with all of them. I now have them in my "hope to never need it" box. :)

I have settled on T3S's with 1.8ohm heads. MUCH better than the nova's. :) :vapor:

Welcome the the Forum Chris, as far as your question, refer to this like Here - shows the relation between Volts of your device and the Ohm's of your atomizer. When you find your Watts, try to stay within the Green to receive the best flavor and vapor without getting any burnt juice or flavor.

That site is ran by Phil Busardo, a super knowledgeable dude with lots of info on hand.

Have you actually checked the ohms on the Vivi Nova with the ohm reader on your ZMax, or just going on what it is "supposed to be"? Individual clearomizers and cartomizers can be pretty far off from what they are supposed to be and what they actually are when you test them.

Now that I've gotten that out of the way; as Bill above said it will be a process of elimination whether your disappointing results are from the Vivi Nova or you ZMax. Try a different juice attachment on the ZMax. Try a different flavor, a different ohm, at different voltages.

I read nothing in your post that indicated that you were doing anything wrong. I assume you are aware that the top wicked clearomizers like the Vivi Nova need to be tipped sideways or the juice swirled to keep the wicks nice and wet while you vape, otherwise you can get a burnt taste.
