Thanks for this page existing! I've been vaping for about 4 years or so, but have always used sub-ohm style devices. Never built/wicked any in my life. I'm having an issue with my newest vape I recently bought, hoping to get some assistance.

*TLDR* RPM5 coils burn fast, looking for tips or replacement suggestions

Previously I had a drag s mini pod vape, my coils wouldnt last crazy long, but average about 3-4 days. I replaced it with a smok rpm 5 pod system and I am blowing through coils left and right. I'm lucky to get a full 24 hours on a coil without getting a burnt taste. I'm using the .23 coils, vaping on 30-35W and using a juice that is 70vg/30pg. I always prime my coils, they are saturated at least 10-15 minutes minimum before I even put them in the device. Tank stays above half 90% of the time. Last year I had a geekvape aegis with a cerberus tank, and I absolutely loved that thing. The coils would almost never burn, I'd end up changing them out after a week or two just for a better flavor profile. I'm tempted to buy another, but browsing sites is seems the supermesh coils are sold out in a lot of sizes, leading me to believe it'd be too difficult to keep extra coils handy. If anyone has any advice on anything I can do to make my coils last longer with my rpm5, or a reasonably priced vape/sub ohm tank that won't kill me with coil replacement costs every day, I'd love to hear it. I also found geekvape now is pairing A ZEUS sub ohm tank with the aegis mod (or very similar) that I used to have, but idk if that is a good tank or not. Sorry for the ramble, just kind of at wits end and looking for suggestions. Thanks!

Is your juice a dark color, or does it have sweeteners? Most commercial juices do. Even 3-4 days is awfully short for a coil. Dark and/or sweet juices are known coil gunkers. Try a simple flavor, like a fruit, and, if possible, ask if sweeteners have been added. If it turns out that it's your juice, you're going to get suboptimal performance from any tank. Your best bet in that case is to either switch juice, or learn to build. Building isn't that hard and will save you tons of money over pre-built coils. We are here to help if you need advice.

I use PINK by endsgame, I have used it since I started vaping. I used to use endsgame's looped as well, but when they went to 100ml bottles the looped dropped off. It a little sweeter juice but it's fruity, think it's strawberry dragonfruit. Most of the time it's clear, but sometimes has a yellowish tint. It's my favorite juice by far. And I vape 12mg nic so finding a flavor I enjoy with higher nic gets touchy. Salt nics I've tried have made my head swirl, not too experienced with those. Pink is about all I ever use haha. I' open to experiment i just don't know where to start lol. Thanks for your comment!

You don't have to use the GeekVape SuperMesh coils in a Cerberus tank. There are several others that will work just fine in the Cerberus and provide you with good flavor and longevity before needing to be changed out. They're still readily available, too, and don't cost as much as the SuperMesh coils. Just a couple of them are: the Geek Vape IM4 coils [a good friend loves them in his Cerberus tanks], and the Eleaf HW series of coils are his next favorite [there are 4 different ones, depending on what ohms you want and what wattage you prefer to vape at]. Some of the SMOK coils also will work in the Cerberus, and there are many others, too.

Here's a link to a coil compatibility chart. Any of the coils in the orange chart, named Baby Coils, but are called Small Coils in the info below, are compatible with the Cerberus tank. Quite a few of them are listed twice, but just ignore that error.

I guess your juice has sweeteners in it that could be gunking up your coils. You could learn to diy your juice. That way you can eliminate the sweeteners, get the exact nicotine level you want, and try different flavors. Diy is easy once you learn how. There are tons of videos and people here on ECF to help. The initial cost is high, but once you buy the equipment and supplies, you will find that you are spending pennies for your juice. You can start with simple recipes, like strawberry and get more elaborate as you learn.
