New here - time for a little introduction

Hi all, I'm lurking for quite a while now, and thought it'd be a good idea to introduce myself.

I'm 34, from the Netherlands, and been smoking analogs since I was 18. Tried vaping a few times now. First in 2013, with E-Go style thingies. Wasn't for me. After that again in 2016/2017, with all kinds of MTL equipment (Joyetech AIO, Joyetech E-Grip II with Cubis pro), but still didn't do it for me.

About 1,5 month ago I decided to give DL a shot. Started with a Vaporesso Tarot Nano kit, and been hooked ever since.

Within 1,5 month, my gear expanded to the list below:
-Vaporesso Tarot Nano kit (Veco 2ML tank)
- Additional Veco 2ML tank
- Veco 4ML tank from AliExpress
- Vaporesso Cascade Baby 5,5 ml (one store in the Netherlands sells this as a 2ML with a silicone plug in it :D)

The battery in the Tarot is kinda small, so I bought a new mod within 1,5 weeks. That's a Aspire Typhon 5000mah mod.

Then I realized that factory coils are expensive. So, I ordered a OBS Engine Nano in Rainbow (really pretty) AFF3B34E-A81C-4150-B2BB-6B54D3408886.jpeg
after reading about it here. That does the job, so I ordered a Kaees Solomon 2 as well (also after reading here). That's on its way now.

I also make my own liquids, because money :)

Daily driver is definitely my Typhon with the OBS on it. Most of the time with a 30pg/70vg 3mg peach/raspberry mix.

Hi and welcome.
Happy to hear that you found a vaping style that works for you. I also mix my own juice. It is a lot less expensive and I can make just what I want. I am still learning though. Also I have started to make my own coils for my Cartel Obelisk RDA and a Vapefly Galaxies MTL RTA. I have a coil setup for the Obelisk that I like and still working on a coil for the Galaxies that I will like. I prefer to wrap spaced coils over contact coils. Hope that all works well for you.

I'm using contact coils for now (Alien Clapton at.45). My neighbour also suggested using spaced coils, so I'm gonna give it a try.

I also noticed I do suffer from shinyitis. I want all kinds of pretty removable battery mods now.

Hi and welcome!

I also have two of those Tarot Nano/Veco kits, love them. And make my own juice.

I’m glad you kept trying till you find something that worked for you. I’ve been vaping almost five years now, and my style keeps evolving, not so much because one stops satisfying, but because there’s shiny new stuff to try.

Now that you're building and have already caught shinyitis, be sure to look at the Augvape intake. Probably the best single coil top airflow RTA for flavor you can find right now. If you like the nano you'll love the intake.

And if you're up to a build challenge (and seriously at first it's a challenge even for veteran builders) the OBS Engine 2 should be on your short list of dual coil top airflow RTAs.

The intake is already on my AliExpress wishlist :) it sure is pretty! Also there is the Geekvape Zeus Dual and the Vapefly Horus.

I've seen the Engine 2. That deck looks crazy in all kinds of ways, and way to complex for me. If I really want a dual coil I think I start with the Engine 1, with a normal deck.

Welcome to the community. The Engine II isn't too bad to build. Installing the first coil is the pita. After that you know what works and wicking is very forgiving . My Nanos are are still my top pick but have included the Intake in the daily rotation. Personally I would skip the original dual Engine. Flavor isn't nearly as good as the E2.

Hi Onirea. Welcome to the ECF.

Just so you know. The World Heath Organization has classified the ECF as a "Hot Zone" for Shinyitis Infection. And has even gone so far as to suggest Quarantining the ECF as means to contain future Shinyitis Outbreaks.

As there is No Known Cure for Shinyitis short of cutting up All your Credit Cards into small pieces, proceed at you Own Risk.

Welcome and glad you joined.
I'm happy you did, vaping is so scalable I'm still puzzled why so many folks like yourself haven't yet made the switch.

True, vaping is very scalable. It can also be really complicated. Not if you want a pod with some liquids, or a basic tank with drop in coils. But if you want to get a external battery mod for example, you end up in a swamp of good, not to shabby and bad choices. That can be quite overwhelming. Which battery should you buy, which charger, how many A do you need etc.

Edit: I know what I need now. But that took me about a day of looking through Mooch's blog, reviews and YouTube videos. Thumbs-up for @Mooch for creating all that information, but it shouldn't be necessary.

Welcome ! I also have a tarot nano kit =D I currently use a revenger go (5000 mah) with a horizon falcon tank or fireluke mesh pro. Man what flavor! I tried rebuilding but I couldn't get nearly the same flavor as these new mesh coils. I don't think I'll bother with rebuilding a mesh rda, seems like there is some hassle with dry hits if you don't get the cotton just right.
