Just joined and wanted to say hi!
Here's a little background info: I'm 23 and have reached a turning point in my life where I've freely smoked cigs up to a pack & 1/2 a day. I find it quite disgusting, emptying my ashtray multiple times a day, seeing the trashcan full of smokes and ashes, smelling like a mixture of cologne and smoke. I'm sure you all get the point. Now what I believe caused me to increase from 15 cigs a day to the pack & 1/2 was beginning an MAOI called Nardil (I won't bore you guys with details of my life lol!). Anyway, it's got me craving them like no tomorrow but I really can't complain because the Nardil is doing it's job very well.
But 30 cigs a day? I had to make a change, so I youtube'd the heck out of vaping. ThesisHimself, GrimmGreen, RipTrippers, BAMVaping, etc. have become my friends haha. Truthfully, at first I was skeptical and extremely overwhelmed. But the more I looked into it the more it seemed like a viable option. So I ordered myself an eleaf iStick and a nautilus mini which should be here on Saturday. I'm planning on getting juice locally so I can try it out and get a feel for what flavors I'd be satisfied with. I smoke Camel Crushes which I crush the capsule immediately before lighting (weird I know, why not just get a menthol? For some reason it tastes different and I never liked them).
The trippy part about all this is the other day while waiting for my istick to arrive, I used a free coupon I got from RJR to get a Vuse cigalike with 2 free cartridges. At first I hated it because I was trying to smoke it like a real cig, but eventually I discovered how to properly smoke it and I kinda like it. It's not particularly satisfying as an all day smoke though. Problem is my cigarettes taste absolutely disgusting now.I'm not sick or stuffed up, but I just cannot stand the taste of them for some reason. I'm kinda stuck in a weird position because theres 3 more days till I get my package and I'm unable to satisfy myself with a real cigarette.
Sorry for the long post, I just wanna know what the heck is going on. I'm not interested in actually buying carts for the Vuse, it was supposed to be just a casual thing till my setup arrives. But my cigs seriously taste like a burning burlap sack and I have to brush my teeth, floss, and mouth wash after each one!! Yesterday I only smoked FOUR cigs because of this!! This is frustrating and has been going on for the past few days. Any insight would be awesome!
