So, I'm not exactly new, been lurking around for a couple weeks. My name is Erica and I'm in the Phoenix, AZ area (not too far from FSUSA:p) I just want to say thanks to all the wonderful information everyone contributes on this forum. About a month ago my sister bought a Blu, I tried it and at that very moment knew that there HAD to be better out there, so I found this place and the wealth of info. thank goodness! I ended up buying the Joye510 from cignot.com with the PCC (kudos to them) and some juice from FSUSA and Backwoods (reviews and questions to follow in other threads). I like the 510 so far, wishing I would have gone with the Ego, but at the time I was looking for something a little more slim and less expensive.
I'm still having a hard time kicking analogs and will post about that at another time.

Thanks again everyone and have a great day!

Welcome to ECF..both of you !
check out MistressNomads videos for broke newbies (if you haven't yet)
and what finally got me off the stinkie smokes was the ego type model
I got the mega atty & carts and can now vape worry free for hours
try sample packs and vary the pg/vg and the nic levels to find what you like
enjoy the vaping world and if you get confused ?? just ask :)

Stick to it Eric, the 510 is a good start. With the money you save on analogs you will be able to buy the eGo or Riva.

Welcome to ECF!!! You are off to a great start, enjoy the 510 it is a good little pv, in time you can upgrade to the eGo if you want. Don't be hard on yourself for not being able to put the analogs away, not all of us did it right off the bat. Took me months but when I finally had the 510 and the right juices it kind of just happened without even really trying. Any cigarette you don't smoke is good, so just let it happen. One trick that helped me was when I felt like I needed a smoke, I would vape for 15 minutes, if I still needed one I had one but most of the time I didn't but if I did I had it without feeling guilty about it.

Hi Erica - Congrats on trying to quit!! You have made a good start. I have both the 510 and the eGo and love them both.
Everyone is different as far as when/if you give up analogs. I was done with them by day 3 of vaping but others take weeks or months. If you have cut down on analogs then you are doing great!
BTW - I am up here in the Flagstaff area. I love AZ!

Hi Erica!

Even though I started this process many moons ago, I think I'm well on my way! It's so much easier with the better PVs these days.

Keep at it. It took me two years since I was first introduced to vaping. I just consider the price to be an investment towards kicking the cigs for good. Even with the ecig it can be challenging to switch over; just keep the end goal in mind.

Wishing you lots of luck!

Thank you everyone for the warm welcomes and encouragement, you are truly a great group of people. I enjoy vaping and think I can kick analogs to the curb, just a matter of time and finding a satisfactory all day vape at this point. I’m having a hard time with the first cigs in the morning and of course after meals and right before bed. My first step was to stop smoking analogs in the car and I've accomplished that thus far.
