Hi all,
As I have been reading you all were once new too :p! I have been using a Cig2o brand PV for a little over a month now and I am all in all happy. The original kit I bought however did not last what so ever. I have replaced everything from batteries to chargers. I Just wanted to take a moment & say hello. I was completely unaware that ECF existed until looking for parts. You all have informed my immensely without even knowing.

Hello and welcome Dani-

You are correct in your belief that the Cig2o is KR808D-1 model, abbreviated 808 typically and is in reference to the threading of the connector. If you're looking to stay in that size range for a PV there are quite a few options out there. There are some upgraded versions like the Volt and Maxx Fusion that have a slightly longer battery life, or you could also opt for the standard 808's as well. These are going to have a better battery life as well as give you more options for colors, switches, LED's compared to the shorty batts that came with the Cig2o.

If you're looking to go a little larger the Joye eGo is one of the most popular PV's, its a 510 model and 510 is becoming the mainstream size for a accessories. In between the eGo and the 808 lies the Joye 510 models, these are more along the size of a Sharpie.

If you really wanna jump feet first into the vaping scene you can go with some of the mods out there, there's a ridiculous amount of them and they vary in size/shape, have bottom feeders, variable voltage and a plethora of other features.

Or you can just hang out with your 808, most of the guys and gals here still have one lying around for emergencies, or for trips out where they might not be able to discretely vape/carry a larger PV. Feel free to look around, check out the Forum Suppliers for reputable dealers, and once you get your 5 post newbie limit you can start posting in other areas of the forum, I know PA has some active vapers in the location forums that like to set up meet n'vapes.

As always, if you have any questions, feel free to ask those too.

I have not had any problem with this model. Like I previouly stated I have been smoke free since Aug 1st... It seems so easy with this 808. I was unaware I could refill my cartomizers until I came here. I fallowed all the videos & boiled/dried them out & have been even more excited since! I have been buying the juice from Vapor 4 life and Im happy thus far... Should I expect to get to a point where Im not happy with this system? Seems everyone else is soo much happier with other things!?!

Some vapers are perfectly happy with what they start out on, some like to move up to something with a bit more battery life, and some people can't help but try every single thing out there and end up with 2-15 PV's sitting in drawers because of it. And then there's those of us who want to "mod" every single thing that takes a battery into something to vape on.

I really just wanted to give you an idea on options since you mentioned you've already replaced everything, including chargers at least once in the month you've been using the Cig2o. There are products in the same size range (the 808) that'll give you some better reliability and battery life for less than you'd pay to replace your kit again.

Welcome to the forum Dani! As you'll see, you'll be able to find lots of information and suggestions here. I started out with a cigarette look-alike, 510, and soon got tired of charging/replacing batteries. One alternative that I found, if you spend a lot of time on the computer, is to use a Pass Through model. The PTs have a USB cable that stays connected so there is no battery to discharge/recharge. 'Course, you'll have to stay within 4 ft of your computer when using it :( , but it sure alleviates a lot of battery hassle.

Dani, if you do get a pass through, PT, you can get 808 ones from a number of suppliers that will work with your Cig2o gear as well. However, I will caution you against plugging it into your computer.

PC USB 2.0 can deliver up to 5V of power, provided there is no data transfer involved.
PC USB 2.0 operates at up to 500mA or 0.5A. (there are a few exceptions in new mobos)
PC USB 3.0 (the new hotness) operates at up to 900mA or 0.9A. (once again, there are a few exceptions)

Most USB PT's (excluding inline battery models) require 1.5A-2A to operate as expected. Inline battery models typically draw 350mA-500mA to charge the battery while you vape at 1.5A-2A.

While it is possible to operate a standard PT from a computer USB it will not perform at its peak. Damage to your USB port and your motherboard is also possible. Most commonly this would be in a "short" situation, such as leakage of juice into an unsealed PT (just like leakage into an auto battery) or worn/damage wiring.

Either way I'd rather replace an $8 wall/car USB PT connector than a $75-$300 mobo.

I have looked into them. Im not really dissatisfied with my battery life. I came into the whole Pv world with low expectations. It was only casually mentioned to me by an associate & upon a little futher inspection I tried Cig2o. I get aout 5-6 hours on a single battery but as mentioned above I Have had to replace my Cig2o branded ones with ones from Vapor4life batteries. Also since I figured out (with help from you folks) I could refill these carto's I have opted for manual battery's.

Congratulations and if you are happy with the battery life there isn't any reason to jump to a bigger battery or different PV. It is all about what you are happy with and what keeps you off of cigarettes! I like the fat bats myself and I like to try all the different setups but it is as much a hobby now as it is satisfying my nicotine addiction.:2cool:

I honestly knew nothing about even refilling these ones till I came to ECF. I Have been trying the "sampler packs" from V4L. I have a 30 ml of Wowboy menthol that's been alright for everyday use but Im really liking their Sour green apple. If anyone has any better suggestions on something similar or a " need " to try flavor, I'm up for suggestions as I am still new to this.
