Hi Jasmine & Welcome to ECF,
I can't comment on this set I don't have any personal experience with it, but it certainly set you back a few dollars!
Vapor Essentials Kit from Vapor Couture
Fantastic you've made the switch though:) and even if it's not like some of the gear you see here, you will still receive all the support you require rather than switch back to stinkies! I'm sure many members have started with something similar too ;)

Anything that gets you off the analogs is a good idea. There seems to be a bit of a snobish attitude from some people about minis and analog clone systems but that is what the vast majority of people start with. So use it and enjoy it. If you decide in the future to upgrade to a different system great you will have a bunch of extra money saved to get something else.

welcome to ECF!

unfortunately ms. jasmin, i cannot vouch for the favor of this vapor couture, as it appears to be inferior product with overpriced replacement cartomizers through their website, they are girly and pretty, and i as well as a few community members will understand this, but you can get much better customization, performance, and better prices if you went with the VOLT over at smokeless image, this link:

Smokeless Image | Only The Best Electronic Cigarette | Starter Kits

if you don't care that it looks like a cigarette, then i would advise you to go with the KGO from hoosier ecig supply or dark city vapor, and you'll get even more superior performance out of one of those, however, for a beginner the best choice is the volt, especially keeping the form factor of the traditional cigarette...as for your current order, i'd send the company and email and see about returning the product in an unboxed condition, just make up a bogus excuse like your refrigerator burned out or something....anyways good luck, and happy vaping!

edit: the main reason i also say send it back is because we don't know the thread type on those batteries, and can't point you in the right direction of cheaper refills, and a five pack of prefills on the website for those is 14.95....that's a hefty toll IMHO

Ouch, that is very expensive but then again so are cigs. I would suggest using it for all it's worth, save the money you would be spending on smokes and save up for a better system with longer lasting everything. Don't think of it as losing money, because it's still cheaper than cigs. Just keep in mind that your next step will be even better if you want it to be. Less costly, tons of flavors, longer lasting batteries, etc.

Good luck and stick with it. Believe it or not many people like me started out on a kit that is similar to that and if it worked for us it can work for you. I'm at around three years without a cig.

Yeah, like they said, overpriced but don't feel bad. 99% of us made that mistake to start. Get your money back if you can and go with one of the setups elmattias recommended. If you can't then do some research while you use it up then upgrade.

If you can't send it back, you can still buy some juice to top off those overpriced cartos when they are used, instead of getting new prefilled cartos every time.

It is a pretty little pv, though! :)

Hi Jasmin. You didn't mention how much you were smoking, how many cigarettes per day. While the Couture kit is attractive since it looks very "cigarette like" the small size limits it and when combined with the relatively high price of their cartridges, makes it a little hard to use IF you smoked more than half a pack a day. If you did smoke more than that, don't feel too badly, many of us, including me, made the same mistake.

I will second the vote for the Volt system from Smokeless Image. I smoked about 3/4 pack a day and a 78mm Volt battery lasts me about 3-4 hours of almost continuous use. Their cartridges are a little more than half the price of the Couture and will last, easily, two, three or even four times longer (based on my experience with the ProSmoke which appears to be similar to the Couture). Their customer service is excellent and shipping is fast. They have an excellent forum here on ECF and stand behind their products totally.

If you can send the Couture back and order something else, Volt, Ego or whatever. It will greatly simplify the switch off of tobacco. Good luck on your journey and welcom to ECF.

I'm not "knocking" ShogaNija, the guide he has does present a good system for some, but if you're trying to maintain a cigarette-like look and feel his solution won't be very good for you. The batteries and cartridges are much larger, on the order of a full sized cigar, and are much heavier which make them hard to impossible to use unless you hold it as you use it. You may find it easier to get off of tobacco using something that matches a cigarette more closely. One of the advantage of the Volt system is that it is sealed (both manual and automatic batteries), is regulated at 3.6 to 3.7 volts to provide a consitent experience until the battery needs to be recharged and their equipment, both "mini" style batteries and larger X2 batteries, 650, 900 and 1300 mah, are compatible with all of their cartridges, CE3s and clearomizers. Their X2 batteries will also accept larger tanks in the Ego thread system as well if and when you want to move on to something larger.

The choice is yours, of course. Try to consider what your current habits are and what you want to be able to do. If you're happy with a bigger battery, go with that. If you want something that mimics a tobacco cigarette go with the mini style. Either way, in the end, you'll come out ahead.

Can you point me in the direction on how to do this?

Buy some bottles of juice in flavors that you think you will like. Buy small bottles in several flavors, sample sizes if they are available. Some juices will sound terrific but you will hate them when you taste them. Get some flavors similar to the prefilled cartos if you can.

When the flavor and vapor start to drop off from your prefilled cartos, remove it from your battery, remove the rubber insert in your mouthpiece, and drip a drop or two into the filler material at a time, letting it soak in each time. Keep adding drops until the top looks slushy and won't take any more juice. Blow through the bottom end out the top end to make sure the air tube is clear, then replace and vape away. :vapor: There are many youtube vids available if you want to see it in action. Just search for something like refilling cartos and you should get plenty of results.

For your smoking habits, I think this kit will be plenty. Still overpriced, but I would be willing to pay extra for the bling. :p

Jasmin - Looks like you've either had the Vapor Couture for just over a week, or you've decided to get rid of it. So I have to say, you're FINE with what you've chosen to start with. I agree with everyone here, if it got you to put down analogs, it was totally worth every penny. And, I have to say, I bought one just because it looked pretty. I already had a couple standard V2s and an eGo...and a vTube...SO, when I got the VC, I will say...I was totally dissapointed. My biggest complaint was the flavor and the lack of vapor. So I'm looking around for blank cartos that will fit on this super odd sized battery

As tidegirl suggested, you can use whatever e-liquid you want to refill...as many times as you can until the carto quits working. The bad part (for ME) is that you have to vape our any of the existing juice first (since I haven't figured out a good way to free the juice from this super tiny carto any other way...). tidegirl said that you can refill by dripping...however, because of the type of mouthpiece caps these cartos have, you can't. You can, however, refill by using the condom method (dripping juice into those little rubbery plastic end cover-thingies that come on the cartos)...then you put the end that attaches to the battery down into the juice and slowly squeeze it on until the cap is all the way on...that forces the liquid inside...Just take the cap back off, wipe the connector with a tissue and attach back to the battery...You may get flavor cross over, but that's fine...it will vape off eventually (especially if you refill a couple times).

I actually found your post because I was searching on here if anyone had any info on the type of battery the Couture was or if you can buy blank cartos for it (as I really dislike the flavor of the juice...but I don't want my purchase to be a total waste. I refuse to buy their pre-filled cartos again knowing what the juice tastes like in comparison to all the GREAT stuff that's out there. I LOVE the size though and really DO want to be able to use it for nights out, etc. Definitely not my day to day, all day PV.

Best of luck...if you have any questions, reach out...sounds like not too many people have experience with this since it's so "commercial"...definitely not something most of these regular vapers would use on the regular...
