Hey everyone,
I've been lurking here for a week or so and am fairly new to vaping bout a month and a half since I had my last analog. I started with a tsunami mod and one tank. I walked out of my local smoke shop, filled a tank and haven't looked back. Even gave away the pack and a half of analogs I had left. I upgraded to the itaste vv and some kanger minis and passed the tsunami to my girl friend. She now has the same set up as me and my original tsunami has been through 2 more vapers which I think is awesome. I've gone a little crazy I really don't do anything half way. I've still saved a little bit money over my 2 packs a day analog habit, and have in my opinion a lot of juice and more on the way. But I've been thinking lately what if my itaste dies on me? Back to analog buy another cheapy? That's the only thing I can get locally. So here I am reading, reading and more reading trying to decided what mod I should buy. I'm thinking buying a higher end one and putting my itaste on the shelf as the back up. I want to make sure that what ever I buy its compatible with everything I have now. Not that I won't by some bigger tanks for my aesthetics quirk, bigger mod bigger tank, but want to be able to use what I have now too. I like all types of juices, fruity, savory, deserts I've found some of each that I like. But my fave has to be ry4 and a couple drops of cinnamon.

So suggestions and why's are what I'm after here.

As long as you're not smoking, you're doing the right thing.

Me, I'm open to it all, I'll probably end up with one of everything, because I'm like that, i have the Curious George gene, so I'll have to try everything - and eventually settle on one or another as my favorite. Same with juices - more is better! I'll also give away the extras, I'm like that, I give away old computers and TVs and such when I upgrade - I also have a couple of potentials who might get a starter kit for Xmas!

Welcome to the forum and congrats on quitting. Is there a local vape lounge you can go to and sample? You'll get 100 different responses what vendor has the best juices.

Good luck. I'm over 3 years since the last cigarette and never had a mod so can't help you there. Still rocking the ego. My advice is keep an open mind on finding what works for you. Over a month without a smoke makes it sound to me like the hardest part is over for you. Stick around here too. A dearth of great info.

I too am looking towards a higher end mod for my next purchase and I'm going for the provari at Provape when I do. Mostly because it has a warranty and is compatible with everything if you get the ego adapter as well. I haven't heard any hard sells on any other high end mod like I have for the Provari so that's all I know to tell you. Good Luck and Happy Vaping.

2. Get high end Rebuildable Atomizers and learn how to build coils.
3. Get DIY supplies and teach yourself how to make your own liquids.
4. Get active in our fight to keep vaping legal.

I think this is good advise and welcome to the forum. You cant do this overnight but you could get yourself up to speed in not too many weeks. Good luck

Yep been to a couple lounges but they are over an hour away and isn't really possible to go to one of them regularly. But I do want to clarify I'm good with trial and error with juices I keep ordering or picking up more any chance I get. I'm looking for mod advice so I can put my current one away for a just in case backup, and I see lots of post and opinions, but I want real life experience and why its a better choice than another. But I do understand it's all subjective.

Yep John that's exactly what I'm looking to do. I have researched and not clear answers is what I'm reading. I have also done research on rebuilding and diy liquids. I have not however got involved in the fight to keep it legal. Didn't even really know how big the fight is until joining here. But am talking to all of my smoking friend and even my customers who come in and say "what is that" lol

Ok, first off the tech is rapidly advancing/changing so by the time your current widget dies, you might end up with something loads better/different than what you could grab today.

Folks rave (mostly) about the MVP 2.0, even tho it apparently has a stiff button to press to activate. But it looks cool - the only other drawback ive seen about it is that you cant swap out the battery.

But its cheap and comes with a tank, and will even show the resistance on a rebuilt head.

I got some Kanthal wire, some CVS sterile cotton balls and have made a few coils and when they get nasty, replaced the cotton wicks ive made. Its a lot better bang for the effort than stock Kanger heads, Ive discovered.

Im new to vaping too, and recently stopped analogs cold so I feel like I could use more gear, but I'm also tempted to wait and see what comes along.

Maybe the MVP 3 will show up with replaceable batteries, Id like that.

I dont have any stores even remotely close to me, so I really have to deal w/ mail order, but the folks Ive tried (Ahlusion, Nicoticket, Alice in Vapeland) are pretty good and come across as trying to pay attention to detail. A package from AiV is really cool to get.

New guys have to bring doughnuts, its a rule I made up. Im hungry.

Like you I started small and it began rolling. Went from an Evod setup to a Vamo v.5 and a twist battery for backup. Protank2 and ismoka BCC mega deliver my juices. Dunno if it help about the upgrade, but I've been eying DNA 20 mods and they look to be a real nice tool. that with getting into the RBA and coil building wick realms are my next progressions. I've had a Provari from ProVape for the last two years. It still looks new and is very reliable. A starter kit will cost you around $215 and well worth it. Also, I was just looking through the "APV Discussion". There is a thread called The High-End Mechanicals chat tips and pics. You can check out some really nice mods. I have a couple mechanicals but they are just knock offs. Still yet they are rather nice, a mix of stainless steel and brass.

My original Tsunami e cig stopped charging around a month ago so I ordered another online and the thing was working great! I also noticed that my old one was working again when I charged it with the new charger so I began to wonder if my old charger was the problem and not my old Tsunami. But now neither of my Tsunami models are charging and when they're screwed into the charger, there is no blinking light, no red light, no charge, no nothing! Is it possible the chargers are the problem? Anyone else have this problem? I clean the connections with cotton every couple days and I followed the instructions. HELP!
