Hi. Just registered. Looking forward to quitting smoking. Trying to get my 5 posts out of the way ;)

Hiyas. Congratulations on making the choice on quitting the stinkies. I'm somewhat new to the forum. Coming over from CV.

Have you started to buy any devices yet? Or are you still looking into what device you want?

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone,

I picked up a Joyetech eGo One last Thursday, It has been OK. I have already run into it's shortcomings though. I really dislike the small size of the tank, it is difficult to fill, and there seems to be some leaking between the chimney and top of the atomizer head.

I ordered it from MVS and they are sending me a new tank.

After using it for a few days I decided to go a head and order a Subox which should be here tomorrow :) I figure I will use the eGo as a backup device.

I have already cut back from about a half a pack a day to 4 cigarettes a day and am planning on dropping the smokes all together once the few packs I have left are gone.

Also, thanks for the links on how to change my username.

@Alan L Congrats. You've made a life saving decision! About the little minor annoyances you've been experiencing, I look at them as a critical part of quitting tobacco. Every type of tobacco consumption has a ritual, packing down a pack of stinkies, cutting the tip off a cigar, tapping the lid on a can of smokeless. Filling a tank, winding a coil or replacing the battery fills that pre nic intake ritual need for me.

@smokewell Woohoo, 2 years!! That's awesome!

Thanks. I had quit for about 2 years a couple of years ago but got drunk out in Sturgis and started back up again, hah. My drop dead quit date this year is 11-1. I feel confident I will be off the cigs by then but I am going out to Sturgis again this year and wanted to leave myself open for that ;)

Nice!! Have fun, as if someone would have a bad time at Sturgis. To help you along bring some higher nic liquid along and keep your eGo tank filled with it. If the Kanger Subox, filled with your normal liquid, isn't cutting it for the craving, hit the Joyetech for a couple.

Drinking is one of my big triggers, that's what I do. Oh and mine up nic liquid is also a strong tobacco flavor.

Thanks! I too throw a little caution into the wind when I've been drinking!

I have been doing 6 MG of nic with a 1 ohm coil these past few days and that has been working well for me.

Thats a great idea about taking the ego out with me. I smoke camel filters now. Could you suggest a tobacco flavored juice and nic level for the moments of weakness? Thanks.
