Hi there,
I am new to the forum, but having read online that it is the fastest growing one (congratulations on that!) I thought it would be a great place to come and hopefully get a bit of comfort in numbers.

I've been vaping for a couple of months - I quit the day I got my first e-cig and really havent looked back. Obviously all the normal problems, flavour issues (finding strong ones! my taste buds are fried I think) and cartridge issues.

I've been getting pretty stressed about the situation here in the UK and really worry about the possible ban, I figure if it starts here then who knows where it will end? Definitely the US next and then will we even be able to import the liquid??? I have tried no nicotine liquid, and cannot stick with it - not the nicotine addiction but the throat hit - I just really miss it.

My worry is that although there seem to be a LOT of people vaping, the petitions and stuff aren't getting much support. If no one stands together on this then where will we be? I know how passionate we all are about this and I find it strange more people aren't getting the armour on!

Anyway, I have been lurking around here since starting to get into this new passion! The guides and info I have received have been so very very valuable and really helped me out on my journey. THANK YOU!
I hope that vaping lasts long enough for me to become a help to newbies too.

The problem is when you try to sign the petition it comes up with an error about the email. I think cause it's a US email address. I tried 10 times with the same error. E-mail error not recognized and I've been using Comcast e-mail for 9 or 10 yrs. By thr way Welcome and good luck.

Wow that's really interesting. I wonder if they know that there is that problem for the US emails?
Kilroy, I'm really sorry if it came across as a criticism - blimey, I know that there is a lot of support and lots of people are doing so much! I just hope people are following your example and writing in - 3000 on the petition just seems so few when there are so many UK people vaping.

Welcome! I actually did send comments to the the MHRA, though another form I looked at specifically required UK citizenship and wasn't sure it would help your case for me to add input there under false pretenses.

That's so great guys! thanks for the welcome and the good news. I think the US response has been fab, we Brits don't seem to have the same confidence at standing for our rights it would seem!

Such a crazy world we live in, I just managed to get 5 new people into vaping - and just starting to really enjoy it myself and now this?? Madness.

But a really good community and I know we'll all stick together.

Can't sign the petition from ROI or else I would. It kinda strange I would definitely like to see e-cigs and liquid regulated (for purity, no sales to minors etc). Also I'm not too sure about the flavour thing. OK PG/VG, nicotine and water should be easy enough to assess (at least versus real cigs) but I would like to know a bit more about the flavours they're chucking into these things (yes I know big tobacco puts flavours in as well)

The real problem is that the MHRA/FDA etc will want to remove all items from the market until proven safe(ish) and until their partners - big pharma- can get something along these lines going themselves - probably years). Fact is the majority of vapers will go back to smoking - I know I will and I refuse to buy the NRT rubbish again it is absolutely useless!
