Has anyone had a problem with the battery compartment? Or do they have longer 18650 batteries to use? I have to push the bottom for my batteries to balance and for me to use or else one side says it's full and the other empty. So it won't fire due to the one side saying it's dead.

What brand and model of battery are you using?
Have the batteries been damaged; has the positive contact been dented or depressed in a fall?
Has the battery been re-wrapped because of a previously torn wrapper?
Did the problem begin recently or has the device been problematic since purchase?
Perhaps the door has been damaged in some way.
Would you be able to post a photo of the batteries and the door /hinge/latch?

Is one battery in upside down? Many mods have each battery the opposite of the other. Could be the door (don't know which mods have this issue but seems common.

Dunno about that mod, but the 2 cell mods I have have an extra contact in the door to register the voltage of each cell. Maybe this is pushed down and not making contact until you press harder? Also, your batteries are flat top, as in, they don't have a protruding tip like a AA battery does?
