Just filled another one. Working really good. Im not going to take it off. Even to refill it. Ill see if that works. I really want to like these but only 4 days in and not looking good. Im going to order a couple of adapters too see if that works. 510-901,901-510. Im wondering if maybe something is getting pushed up when I swtich it from one device to another.

It is possible that maybe you are experiencing connection issues. Why don't you try taking a tooth pick or a paper clip, insert it in the hole of the carto at the battery end and gently pull the post out, just a hair. Sometimes the center post can get pushed up and your atty/carto is not making a proper contact with the battery. Just a thought, since that only seems to be happening after you take the carto off and put it back on.

Nah, you and me are on the same page isaac. I do not use a drip tip on a carto as well. I vape a carto "au naturel" ;) I'm a purist ya know
lol pure is the way to go! I tried using a 901 tip on a KR carto and received nothing but liquid! Rawr

Make that 4 now. Not sure what is going on. But I filled a new one it worked for a mintue and quit. wont fire at all. sorry for being the bearer of bad news. Just thought you would like to know. Filling another one. Ill see what happens with this one.

Hi Chelsea! That's terrible news, the fIlure rate is too high for coincidence. Do you have a multimeter by chance? (I'm working on supplying these as they are the perfect tool that is vital to have in the ecig world. This sounds like the liquid you are using may contain too much vg or even too thin of liquid flavoring. Liquid break downs do play a large rule in cartomizers vs atomizers We'll figure out what's happening here and nit leave you in the dark. :)

Isaac, get out of my freaking head

That is indeed one of the recommendation that forms part of the battery FAQ I am working one. Good idea IMHO, go for it. I like on stop shopping :toast:

It has been reported as here that cartos are a funny thing, and they seem problematic on certain devices.

FWIW, I nearly had a battery runaway of my P18 last Friday, the culprit he adapter. Not saying this is what is going on here, but my P18 freaked me out, why one adapter would work while another caused a short and a near runaway.

LOL Great minds my dear friend, great minds and your signature has never been so true. I been nagging my electronic distributors for the past several weeks to source these (a good and reliable one) but to no avail. If it comes down to it, we'll just use alibaba to nab them.

No meter. but the one I put on this morning is still going strong! I have taken it off a few times. Im just not going to try it on my ST. Ill try the toothpick thing and see if that helps.
Hmmmm the dilemma thickens..The 4 that you were using, they were all with the ST? If this is the case. I think Vaporologist may be dead-on with whats happening here. Can you try the other 4 on your current device for me? I'm curious if these really got shorted out on the unit. I'll take care of you on the next order, just please leave a comment for me. Maybe it would be best to get on with the unit's manufacture to discuss this problem. I'm sure he'll be willing to fix it quick, (if it is the problem) I looked over their warranty so at least you'll be safe experimenting with the toothpick/paper clip as it doesn't state that any modifying will void the product. Just make sure the batteries aren't in the unit! :D

:offtopic:Our friend WitchWay is not well and Lorikay and I are sending her a get well card from all of us here. If anybody wishes to have their name signed on the card, please send a PM to Lorikay13 or to me. The card will be mailed tomorrow. Thank you all.

WHAT! Oh my god. Can you tell me whats the matter? Pm,Email or any form for that matter! I actually lost her number from my iphones upgrade  Please sign me Katya. Thank you.

Iken I did try the toothpick and it didnt work. The problem was when I switched it from the Chuck to the ST it would work sometimes. Went back and fourth on both of them when they finally died. Now I am only using the Chuck. Its working fine. Im going to try on the ST tomorrow and just use it on that and see how it goes. After reading about the toothpick thing I looked at the brass end and could see it was pushed down. When I looked at the new one on the Chuck you could see the difference. So I dont think it has anything to do with the Cartos. I think when I put them on th ST I tightened them to much causing the problem. Thanks for the offer but I think it was user error. Like I said before Im going to get an adapter to see how that goes. Ill let you know. Thanks for getting back on this.

Hi Chelsea, I know it's been 2 days since your post, but I have been putting thought to this. I don't think it's a good idea to put the cartomizer on the (what could be the culprit) unit. Maybe, the unit could be shorting out the cartomizers since they don't work after transitioning. When you were examining the original adapter that seems to be pushed in. Can you identify if the center post is touching the inner threads in any kind of way? All battery fittings (adapters) are actually 2 pieces and must be isolated from each other. If the 2 are touching then atty/carty shorts will keep happening.

:offtopic:

The card to WW is in the mail. Thank you all for your PMs. WW is resting and recovering but will not be back on the forum for some time. She sends everybody best wishes and asks us not to worry.

Thank you Katya.

Im using the carto on my ST now. No problems. I just didnt tighten it all the way down. so far so good.

I cant tell if they are touching. I can barely see anything that close to my face. LOL! Even with glasses it still doesnt help.
Sounds like you got everything under control now. The centre post on the atty should sit flush with the end of the threads or very slightly protrude. If it is pushed it, then chances are it will not work on another device. Adapters have a bad habot of doing this as well, not all but some.

Just wanted to take the time to say thank you for the Premium 510 cartomizers. I may be in love.

I've been having issues with atomizers for weeks now. First, I was thinking I was buying "genuine Joye 510 atomizers" that turned out to be clones...bad clones. Once I figured that out, I bought genuine Joye 510 atomizers...they performed well for about a week, then performance dropped CONSIDERABLY. My sister (whom I converted to e-cigs back in Nov '09) orders all of her Joye 510 atomizers from healthcabin. She's apparently been having the same issue. They work GREAT...for up to a week, and then they work, but are very low performance. So, I read these forums and came across your 510 cartos.

I ordered Thursday, got them Saturday, and have been pretty darn happy. I have been missing those strong throat hits so much and finally got them back again! I use standard 510 equipment. Typically, if someone wants a hit off my e-cig, I warn them that it'll be like getting kicked in the throat if you aren't used to it (I use 36 mg juice). Well, I knew the lack of performance wasn't in my head when others would take a hit and shrug, say "Hmm" and "Interesting".

Usually, when someone takes a hit off my 510, they hack and sputter and then say, "Whoa! That's strong". I've let my mother and my boyfriend (both of whom partially use e-cigs and partially regular cigs) try the 510 with your Premium cartomizers...Voila, coughing and sputtering. That's my anecdoctal proof that these are awesome.

I will definitely be buying more (in the soft-tip, those are so much easier to remove the cap). I tried them with my drip tip as well as the soft cap. Both are good, but I prefer the soft-cap. And at $1.95, I really feel like I've gotten MORE than my moneys worth. Even if they were only to last a week, I'd still feel like these are the bomb and absolutely worth it.

In closing, THANK YOU. Getting that nice throat hit now, I'm not using my e-cig as a pacifier constantly and I think I'm noticeably less cranky. :) Good job. Keep up the great work. Excellent product. I don't know what else I could say to praise the product more.

I totally missed this post! I have this same problem with 510 attys. I've tried several different brands, but pretty consistently they don't last so long for me with a big drop off after about a week. I have had much better luck with LR801 and LR901 attys though. Too bad for me because I like how they work on day 2 and the size and the shape of them is good. I think it has to do with too much VG in the liquid in my case.

Nice that your liking the 510 cartos! I got a batch of those for my brother not long ago, and also a couple of joye510s for him to try. He tells me he likes how the attys vape more than the cartos, but likes the refill convenience of the cartos more than the attys... should be interesting to see what he says in a week (he's using 50/50 liquid).

VM,

If you are rolling your own, try cutting down your VG 4/1 with distilled water. If not, try asking your supplier to do it for you, and save that liquid for cartos only. As many offer custom blends, this should not present a problem.

I was never a carto fan, but I am one now :D
