New Indulgence End Caps and other misc stuff

I doubt that the issue is to do with the different switch units, but you never know.
Is the copper spring top on the switch unit making contact with that of the connector portion?

there have been several changes and reworks to the Indulgence over it's lifetime

and some of the reworks the button section had a longer connector pin,
and in one version, with the bullit type adapter threads,

the connector pin on the button section was a bit shorter, and the bullit adapters had a small protrusion on them to make the connection.

some pins are longer than others, I think this is where the problem lies,

the size is not a problem -- it is if you can make a good connection or not -- hahaha

if you have a longer connector pin, you are fine,

if your pin is shorter, you may have a problem connecting --

not all will have problems,

we are talking millimeters here--

so if and when you get the new thread caps, try and see,

if there is a problem, just let us know of your connector pin inadequacy -- hahahahaha

I looked at the pics comparing the height of the contact on the two button sections in this post and my Titanium Indulgence contact height falls in between the height of those in the pics. When I first got it, it vaped great on the batteries. Now it vapes very poorly on batteries. Fortunately for me, I also bought the passthrough. My Indulgence vapes well with the passthrough, but now I'm tethered to a cord. It seems to me that the spring has become compressed over time... That's all I can figure. I seem to remember that the contact was taller when I first got it a week or two ago. Has spring compression been an issue?

Yes, of course, after a while of constant pressure with tight fitting -

pushing down the batteries onto the spring to make a good connection

it is logical that the spring will become compressed,

just take it out and pull on it a bit to extend it's length --

I have just the right tool to do that... It's called a spudger... It's an evil looking tool...

However Di, I was referring to the spring under the button section contact. I can't get to that without doing some serious damage to the white plastic cover that holds the assembly together.

Any recommendations?

aaaaah, i see you want to do some serious pin stretching -- hahahaha

no - I am sorry, the only thing I know about is stretching the spring that is in the bottom of the battery cup
goes under battery.

I am sure some clever peeps could take the button section apart and fiddle with the parts -

BUT ** I do not reccomend this ***

apart from anything else, - it will void any warranty you may have.

what are you like with a soldering iron,??
maybe a spot on top of your pin ??????????

Hi Di,

Nolax is a special lubricant for Metal threads, it protects them and makes your end capes glide on and off like a Hot knife cutting through butter !!!

Yeah I gotta get me some Noalox. They have it at Lowes.

Just note that Noalox contains Zinc particles which are conductive.
On the major Indulgence threads this is great because it decreases the resistance at the joint.

BUT

Don't use it on the atty connection. If some of it squeezes out of the threads it could easily cause a short (read battery killer)

Oh, and Di, good luck finding it in Oz. The best I could find was someone willing to import it for me for 50 bucks.
If only a company like, say, Eastmall would stock it, that would make things so much easier.
