Hi Folks! Okay, I have new info on the Protank 3. After careful deduction I came to the conclusion that Kanger has used the wrong size o-rings on their coil. On the Protank 3 , there are 3 o-rings. 1. on the top of the coil that has long sides on it. It looks like a cap with a hole in it , it sits just above the wicks. 2. Underneath the wicks there is a o-ring on the threaded nut that screws in to the knurled ring that attaches to the base. I will call this the center ring. 3,.a very small ring on the end or bottom of the coil. The culprit is the center o-ring. It is too small/skinny. I replaced this with a fatter ring , if you dont have access to o-rings i used one of those little rubber bands that are used on braces in orthodontics. It actually woks perfect. Make sure you remove the center o-ring before replacing with the new one. I also put one on the top ring or the (1st) ring not removing the cap-style top ring just place above the existing one. Screw it back in to the base(knurled ring) and your set!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No more leaking or shorting out . I did converse with Kanger and they were very nice and offered to replace the atomizers.also claiming that they have not heard of these types of problems with their product but I dont see how they could not know?!
Whatever, I'm happy I found a fix . Thanks for your tips and info.vape-on!
