I'm also having leaking issues, but only seems to occur after a few back to back powered draws. I noticed that the threads on the top cap are total crap and I had a hell of a time getting them to seat properly. When it floods/leaks it REALLY floods and leaks all over the place. Other than that the draw is way too airy, so I'm hoping it's just the stock coil, and I'll try a new one and report back

I also have a hassle getting that top cap to seat properly. When it's not that seems to be when I get the gurgling.

Lol if I wasn't so thrifty I'd throw mine out over frustration cause the threading from the bottom plastic has kinda shredded but since moving on to my rba Russian 91.. Its just added to my collection. Can't even give it to my girlfriend as it causes too much problem...

Bought 5 new iclear 30B after seeing rave reviews on YouTube. Out of the box, they all leak, gurgle, and normal to strong puffs sound like haunted house wind noises. It is true though that gentle puffs will reduce the noise. My favorite tanks are iclear 16. They have never leaked or made unusual noises. I wish manufacturers would test new tanks before marketing them.

AIRFLOW, AIRFLOW, AIRFLOW

If you mount it on something that doesn't have enough airflow (such as a Provari) and you draw too hard, it becomes a juice straw. Unburned liquid goes through the air column and lodges up in the condensation well. When it gurgles, roll up a piece of tissue and stick it down through the air channel while turning it upside down. Turn up your voltage for a short while to have enough power to vaporize effectively. If it goes on gurgling, remove it from your mod and blow from the bottom, upside down into a tissue.
But, airflow is everything. Also take slower, longer drags, give time to your coil to heat up. The harder you suck, plus little airflow, and it's like sucking on a straw.

My issues are definitely not airflow related - it's just not getting a seal. I took a good look at the center post that connects to the coil head, and it is definitely bent off center. To top it off, the bottom threads are all but missing and the ones that are there came stripped. There is no way to get a seal, and this is just crap quality control from innokin. very disappointing.View attachment 297362View attachment 297360

Interesting thread for sure. I've been dealing with the same gurgling, leaking issues with my 30b as well. Here's my thoughts on a couple of things so far:

1) I really don't believe it's the coil design causing the issues. I say that because I own 2 iClear X.1's and they use the same coil and have zero issues with either one of them.
2) I believe the issues are directly related to the way the bottom cap screws on the tank. The plastic tank's threads are poor and difficult to line up properly with the metal bottom cap. If I futz with it enough and screw/unscrew the bottom cap enough times the problems go away.
3) It's not an airflow issue. Even though the symptoms are certainly similar to those of airflow issues the bottom cap has air channels and unless you are completely covering them up then it's going to get the proper amount of air...if not more then enough if it doesn't sit flush on the mod.

One question I haven't been able to get a definitive answer one yet however. Are the 30B coils and X.1 coils completely interchangeable? I own both and can't seem to find any difference in them at all. However, I recently order a set of 5 replacement coils for my 30B and they came in a box that listed all of Innokin's current clearo's and the 30B and X.1 were listed separately.

It's frustrating and I'm getting really close to calling this one a loss and just picking up another X.1 since I have an investment already in coils.

They both uses the same coil. An online shop that I often patronize sells the coil under 30b and X.1.

Anyway, I've been using 30b for about 3 months now and never did get any leaking. Always ensure the inner chimney tube is properly sealed to the coil rubber ring. That is usually the killer - leaks and gurgles.

Just wanna add on a discovery of mine, I managed to take out the silica wicks and dry burn thr coil nicely. Replaced it with cotton wicks and voila! As good as new!
