So my wife ordered the new istick 100W. I've been using it for a day and so far no issues.

The only thing I don't like about it is the 10 second cut off. And it feels kinda cheap. Which it is, lol.

So a quick question, are aw batteries a could choice for this thing? I have a ton of aw 18650 batteries and would rather not have to buy something different.

If We have any issues with this device I'll let you know. She will be using it. I'll stick with my provari.

That depends on which AWs they are and how much power you're using. The 1600mah AWs are 24A batteries, but with only 1600mah, they don't last long between charges. Some AW batteries are only 10A though.

The safest thing to do with a dual battery mod is to buy brand new batteries and marry them. They should be charged together and used together, and only for that mod. And each time you use them, you should rotate what slot in the mod you put them in.

I use Sony vtc4s in 100W mods because they have the highest CDR.
