I got the oled version a couple of weeks ago and using the rba the performance and taste, to me, is identical to V1. I also bought one of the rubbery skins and, as I posted plans to do so, traced out the outline of the oled window with a pencil and simply cut an opening with an exacto knife. Looks like a factory job.

Did you lose the button cover or the button itself. I popped it of by dropping it and just stuck it back on and it came off at some point again but the button itself (clear plastic underneath the cover) still works.

If thats the case don't worry. If you lost the actual button and the ring(?), you'll probably have to send it back to joyetech.

Hey everyone- long time no see!!
I've been using 2 eGrips since the end of October last year...had to replace one (bad charging port -1st gen) and all was fine but now one of mine (2nd gen) is biting the dust and it seems the charging port is the issue again- it's not loose inside the eGrip, the cable to it is just not fitting snuggly. I'm not sure if anyone else has come across this but if you have and there's a solution, please post a reply. When I plug in the cable now I just get a fast flashing light at the button and sometimes it settles down and charges and other times it doesn't- it's just not reliable anymore. Of course, nothing lasts for ever so it might be time to just get another one.

I actually found the botton/ring. I got it to pop back on but cannot tell if it is on correctly, if I have the wattage numbers in the right place. And it is blinking, like I broke something. Going to check my coil and see what's up with that.

I can't answer about the button ring, you'll have to go by taste.

As for the blinking it happened to me. It happened for 2 reasons. First it happens when there is no base screwed in, guess it's a safety measure.

That is not your problem.

The other way it happened was when part of the oring on the Coil holder was torn of and got caught in the thread. I first noticed the blinking and was able to correct it by tightening or loosening the base. It was only upon further investigation that I saw a thin part of the oring had been seperared. I tore the rest of it off and haven't had a problem since.

Hope this helps.

My eGrip is annoying me. It keeps randomly flashing the light three times. I've cleaned it out and wiped all the threads. It was working fine and nothing changed. This has happened many times before and started working on its own after a while. Anyone experience this with theirs? I'm just getting fed up with this thing always doing this.

Just thought I would share this. A friend of mine picked up an egrip recently. He is new to vaping and he was complaining that the rba base was leaking quite a bit. Well he came by last night so I could take a look at it, and this is what we found. His base was missing the seal/o ring that goes on the top of the base to seal everything up. Sorry for the bad picture, but as you can probably see his base on the right has no seal, and mine on the left does. That's exactly how his was shipped. He pulled the little seal/o ring off one of the stock coils, and he said he isn't having anymore leaking issues. This is probably a rare circumstance, but thought it could possibly help someone.

@icebat I lost my o-ring/gasket today and was out of my mind. Thank you so much for posting that I could use it from the stock coil! A++++ for you

Anyone able to compare Aspire BVC performance vs GS Air coil performance?

The ones that came with the Egrip were not great. The ones I bought in the five pack were pretty good. The Aspires seem to always be consistant and a bit better. That being said, not sure why the Egrip ones are so expensive, I think it's a big mistake on their part, guess they did no calculate the users figuring out a cheaper and better solution. I won't get ripped off again! The RBA is the way to go, then you know what coil and wick material is actually made of, no guessing on what you MIGHT be inhaling, other then your juice!

I'm aware the stock coils suck. I was under the impression that GS Air coils are different.
I have found that to be true. They are also considerably less expensive than the egrip coil heads. I have been using the gs air heads since New Years (once the egrip head died), and I have no complaints.

Have you tried the Aspire BVCs? That's what I've been using because I have some for a non-Nautilus clearomizer. I'm curious how the GS Air coils compare.
I used the bvc coil once. I thought changing the bottom pin too much of a pain in the rear. The gs air coils are comparable to me.
