I think mine is charging, I've just got it and the fire button doesn't light up or anything.. is that because i haven't charged it enough or what?
I really want to use it! I thought i could use it whilst it charges yano? but not so far :(

The light goes out when fully charged. If it fires, vape it. Mine came charged.

Edit: press the fire button 5 times to turn it on, the light will flash. Slightly slower, more direct presses than something like an ego.
Did you happen to get a manual with it?;)

Mine was like that, would not fire, when put on charger no blinking light, nothing, they told me to leave it on the charger for a few hours. Still nothing, they sent me a replacement.

Did you get it to TURN ON?? It took me 3-4 tries to figure out the 5 click on this thing. Then I was afraid to turn it off! It's a slower, more distinct press. Try that in Chinglish!

Be sure the bottom is screwed in all the way...same issue, and took care of it.

BTW...1/2 a tank of juice looking at the glass....mine weighed 191.82g (454g in a pound if you need to convert  ) So about 1/2 a pound.

Spare coil in today....doesn't seem as good ? Someone in another post said something about removing a wrap in the coil head ? Any help ??

Thanks.

<EDIT> I got the cover off the coil and removed 1 layer of wrap....will be going back in later.
Can this "wrap" be removed completely ?

Good point on screwing in the base. It had to go in further than I at first thought. I have tightened mine twice since then. I wonder if the seals compress and will become an issue..? I also wonder about getting replacements for the fill seal. It's all good for now.

I haven't had one apart but I think it would flood.

Coil cleaning....small plastic vial with a lid, 1/2 way filled with vodka, soaked over nite, shake vigorously, flushed with water a few times, and air dried.

I did remove the wrap inside completely...did get a little flooding / gurgling. Re-installed 1 wrap (has 2 stock) seems OK so far.

Come on RBA....

Thank you for posting. Has this worked well, or just so-so? I have tried something similar, but with vinegar and baking soda. It works well, but you have to do it frequently. Just curious if the vodka might yield better results.

My method for cleaning coils (not just the eGrip ones) is boiling some water, then soaking the coils in the hot water + splash of vinegar for a while, this is to loosen any crud and get rid of some of the flavor inside the wick. Then I will rinse it out with water while blowing it out a few times, it's a little gross but it seems to work well. I can taste some of the juice thats inside when I'm blowing it out, which lets me know that there is still juice inside. I'll blow it out until I can't really taste it anymore, then I'll soak it for longer with the hot water with some alcohol in it. And before I go to bed, I'll rinse and blow it out again, then let it dry overnight. A ultrasonic cleaner works well too if you own one.

Anyone have any ideas on how you can check for coil resistance on the RBA when it comes out? Is using a multimeter the only way? I hope there is a better method... although I can't really think of one. Just seems like a hassle to bust out the multimeter when you can easily check the coil resistance of other RBAs with a 510 connection.

Have had my Egrip since Oct. 28. Put a new atty in last nite, charged it overnite, started vaping with it this morning and everything was fine. Then BAM, nothing, no lights, no firing, nothing. Changed out atty, and still nothing. Used the Egrip daily. I think Joyetech has a serious problem about this issue and needs to resolve it. I really like the Egrip,

I've had that happen twice and had to tighten the atomizer plug. I assumed the seals had compressed. Hope you get yours going.

The thing is, I've tried 3 different atty's. And have changed atty's before this problem with no issue's. I'll play around with it some more. Hope I can get it working, otherwise time to talk to Joyetech. lol
