I am thinking of getting a Egrip for myself and wonder if I should get the RBA base and also the changeable coils w/cotton (they come in a 5 pack) My question is - should I order more than one RBA and how many coils should I order ? I have never tried rebuilding only replaced my wicks the odd time on my ERolls with the screen mesh. I am looking for a different vape experience as I have been on the ERolls for about 2 years or more now . I really like joyetech and trust that it should be a decent product. I mainly vape a 70/30 12mg menthol , RY4 and 555 .
Sincerely,
Ford

The RBA comes with cotton and 3 pre-made coils ready to go along with some wire to wind your own.
Easy way would be to get the replacements from Joyetech (they're cheap enough) or build your own for a little less ? Your call.
As for the 2nd RBA....you could have it built and ready to go at will, or use one for testing different builds, or ???? Again, your call.

Since a couple people have asked what I did to my RBA, here's a pic. RBA is on the right

You'll notice the air holes I've added, if you compare mine to one that hasn't been modified. This, combined with plugging the bottom, allows you to use the stock airflow adjustment

Cool, Now could you post a pic of the "pin vise", I think you called it...
I doubt that I would fool with it, but would like to understand the details... just in case!;)

Amazing how much better it feeds with those 4 little unblocked holes, compared to the fiber blocked slots.

Has anyone taken the original head apart without destroying it? I want to play with the filler, but it still works, and if it ain't broke... I don't want to waste it...

If so, How did you take it apart?

Magnets came in and I am very pleased. Here is what it looks like:

This magnet fits almost perfectly. It snaps right in and I cannot get it out without using tweezers. No amount of shaking will dislodge it. It reduces airflow to about the level of a fully open airhole of the built-in airflow control. That's still a bit too airy for me, but pairing it with a tighter drip-tip makes it perfect for me. In case any one wants to try this, here is the link to the source:

Awesome! Got a couple extra you want to send my way? I would obviously pay for postage. I like this solution a lot because it's easily reversible if you decide you wanna open it back up. Thanks for sharing. :)

Just thought I would share this. A friend of mine picked up an egrip recently. He is new to vaping and he was complaining that the rba base was leaking quite a bit. Well he came by last night so I could take a look at it, and this is what we found. His base was missing the seal/o ring that goes on the top of the base to seal everything up. Sorry for the bad picture, but as you can probably see his base on the right has no seal, and mine on the left does. That's exactly how his was shipped. He pulled the little seal/o ring off one of the stock coils, and he said he isn't having anymore leaking issues. This is probably a rare circumstance, but thought it could possibly help someone.
