Grrr...

Put the RBA in it earlier today, and loved it. Just refilled the tank, and it's leaking through the RBA's airhole

Beginning to think they made some serious design mistakes with the RBA. Kinda sad, actually, given how well the mod itself is designed

no issue here with that....but just got it too.

When I filled mine up for the first time yesterday, it leaked some. But, what I noticed was, it did it when I kept trying to top off the tank with juice. Have filled the tank 3 times now and it hasn't leaked since. At first I thought great, the rba base leak issue. LOL. Sitting all nite, straight up and this morning, no juice has leaked. :)

Can anyone thats had one for a while speak to the reliability of the mod?

Bought mine in October. Worked great for about 5 weeks, and then one morning it just quit working. Just received my replacement 1 week ago. Vapor Beast took care of it. Awesome company to deal with. Hope this one holds up better. Time will tell.

That makes perfect sense Juicejug. Tank style devices don't leak because of low pressure (vacuum) air above the juice in the tank. The vacuum is what keeps the juice from just running out of the tank and then out of the rba. When you open the fill door to fill the tank the vacuum is lost and will not be reestablished until you take a few pulls and see an air bubble rise through the juice in the tank. Think of it this way: place a straw into a glass of water, put your finger over the top of the straw and remove it from the glass. What happens? Only a little water drains from the straw; the rest is held in the straw by vacuum. Now release your finger from the top of the straw and all of the water runs out because you let air in. Right? That's what happens when you refill your tank except that the tank seals never let air in. So you leak a little juice after refill until vacuum is reestablished.

It's always best to take a few pulls immediately after refilling to reestablish that vacuum.

Yes, your right. I understand all that. I use all various tanks. Guess, my point was, instead of the juice coming out the refill vent hole when full, it started to push out the rba vent hole. The stock coils it doesn't happen. I just don't overfill it now

Hmm.. I just tried what you suggested. I found what I think is an Evod coil (not really sure) and took out the silicone grommet. It is too large to fit in the hole... and would require very nimble hands to smush it together to push it through. Even then, it would be too smushed together and restrict the airflow too much. However... I clipped off a bit of the silicone with a nail clipper, leaving just one little chunk of the silicone below the rim. It fits and seems to help, but it's not in there flush. But I bet if you clipped the silicone a little more carefully, you could get it flush in there. This will do for now. I tried the toothpick wedge too which works as well, however it can easily get stuck deep inside the hole and is annoying to remove.

Ooops...I actually meant the little stopper at the bottom of the coil that isolates one of the coil-wires, not the ring around the chimney-piece. Or would that be too small? I don't have my rba yet, but will try this when it comes to see if it'll work.

Just got my egrip, rba base, and rba today from vapenw. I ordered on the 24th and I wasn't expecting to get it so quick. It wasn't firing at first. I took it off and put it on the base to check the resistance, and it was reading around 1.0 ohm. I rebuilt my own coil for it, and it's working great now. Looking forward to hearing some solutions for tightening up the airflow. This may be a dumb question, but how do you know what power setting the mod is set for?

Great idea, I just was just trying to get that to fit in there, but it was a little too big. I cut a very small piece off the make it a little smaller, and it fit right in nice and snug. Seems to be working great, and tightened up the draw. Now the airflow is just about perfect in my opinion.

To tighten up the draw some I put a piece of tape across the bottom leaving the slots open where the screwdriver goes....was just a touch too much, so I then opened the screw for the stock air flow some (closed it when I put the RBA in)....not too bad all in all ;)

Also quieted it down some too.

Changing the stock airflow with the RBA in doesn't change anything. The RBA seals the inner airflow hole. It's just the placebo effect.
