Just thought it might be helpful to hear if any of you egrip owners are experiencing leaking of any kind. Maybe from the juice door or other places. Just curious.

I've had mine since shortly after the initial release.... No leaking to report, including from the rba base. :)

I'm having problems too, just with the RBA. After putting my liquid in i fire it right up and it's flooded, not just heavy gurgling. Haven't had time to see what i can do about yet. It's leaking from the air port on the bottom.

After watching a video or three, some say it's the way the cotton is in the RBA and may need adjusted or re-wicked ?

I keep frying the stock coils so can't wait for the rba to get here. I took a stock coil apart and it seems to have a parallel coil instead of a normal dual coil. Couldn't tell for sure because it was absolutely fried... I might try later to rebuild the stock coil just for the fun of it.

Hardest thing I seen was to get it apart without damage...tore apart to see what makes one tick.

The repacable coil head that was installed from the factory leaked on me. Replacing that resolved the issue. No leaking with the RBA after three days and no leaking from anywhere else.

I've been using the RBA on the lowest setting since friday and I LIKE IT! I've been vaping a bit less than 3 months so limited experience. For comparison I have an N mini, and an Atlantis. I use all three, I like all three.

P.S. My IVP 2s box mod won't fire the .5 ohm atlantis coil below 25 watts. I'd like to try it at 15 watts. Is there a regulated mode that could do that and still fire the N mini at 8 watts? (I fire the egrip at the lowest setting and prefer it there. I have no idea if the adjuster ring on the egrip is accurate.)

Hm.. I used my Egrip all night yesterday with the RBA in it. Was working great for a while with no problems, then randomly, it just wouldn't fire for me. The button would blink and flash a bunch of times when i tried to fire it, I assumed the battery was dead so when I got home, I gave it a charge and tried it again. Still blinking. I took the RBA out and replaced it with the original base and it was working again. I inspected the coil on the RBA, everything seems in tact and especially since I hadn't messed with it, I don't understand why it would just randomly stop working. I'll be getting the adapter tomorrow so I will put in a new coil and see if that fixes anything. If not, then I am really confused.

Sounds like you may have a short. Try opening the top cap on the RBA and inspect the coil - keep the lower column on while you use a toothpick or needle to lightly push on the coil... if it's loose, the screw may have vibrated/jarred loose and you'll need to reinsert the loose leg of the coil. If it's not loose, the coil may have shifted and be touching the side or top of the column. Make sure there is room on all sides then replace the top cap and test. It is possible that the coil is bad, but I've had mine running for over a week and have had no problems.

Good luck!

My eGrip was here when I got home an hour or so ago. I also received the rba. Minimal documentation but had read enough to squirt some eliquid on the rba wick, fill the tank and commence vaping. Initial impression is that the vape is good. I don't like the lack of an enumerated vw adjustment scale but guess I'll get used to it. Don't like the lack of a display showing stats like resistance and charge level.
.
But the vape is good! It's shorter (but wider and considerably heavier) than my iSticks but it's more shirt pocket stealthy because of the overall height. Mind you these are first impressions after less than 30 minutes of use. Feels like a solid device.

Guess I spoke too soon. It's already puking juice. 80/20 PG/VG mix.

recoiled mine tonite, first wick it leaked, gurgled bad, ect. Made the wick bigger, and BAM, perfect. Just like any rba, trial and error till you get what you want in a vape. Once you learn that particular base, it will be a blessing.

I remade my coil with the adapter, worked fine for a while, although the airy draw did bother me more this time around. It did leak a little through the bottom air inlet and I am getting gurgly draws. I took the RBA out for the time being so I can mess around with it. I hate to admit it but I sort of can't get over the airy draw and I'm preferring the stock base with the BVC coil... at least, until I can get the RBA to perform more consistently and fix the draw. The little stopper thing I put in the air inlet to tighten the draw fell out so.. yea. I do like the silicone case though!

Received my RBA Adapter and Black Skin a few days ago, just finally got around to opening the package.

RBA adapter works as advertised, I was able to dry burn this coil, clean it, and put in some fresh cotton.

The eGrip skin fits very nice and snug, I'm actually surprised how much I like it. Hope it stays snug after a few months. The skin has a nice soft feel, doesn't show finger prints and all the cut outs line up perfectly to the eGrip.

Leaking is most likely due to the amount of cotton wick material you are using. Picture would help, but sounds like you need more wick. I found the wick should be long enough to fold down into the base, basically touching the base bottom. Im using 100% PG and it only leaked when I had to little wicking material.

Same here, i went through a full pad of the cotton they provided just trying to get the wick right. I cut about a 5mm x 20mm(or halfway of the cotton square) and split that piece in half, removing little by little until it can pull through the coil with very little give. i cut of each end to match the length of the bottom of the RBA (the longest part). fluff the ends and tuck them in the sides. I then screw in the cover and center the cottons to their sides through the top. make sure you have a clear passage from the air hole to the coil and that the cotton is not in the way at all. i soak the cotton a lot with juice and then put the cap on and screw it in. do a few air draws to create some vacuum and let it sit for a minute before i fire it. I’ll try to take a picture next time.

From where?

Last night from the side near a screw (but not at the screw) where the bottom chrome plate joins the body. That slowed almost to a stop by this morning. Got home today and appears to have leaked from the rba base. Not taking it to work as long as it's prone to leaking. I'll have to take the thing apart this holiday weekend to see what's going on.

The vape experience however is excellent. Rewicking/reworking the cotton could solve some of the problems but will have to wait on the teardown.
