Built my first "High Resistance coil", aprox. 2.4 ohm. (Pictured below) It's an ugly coil, multimeter at 2.3 to 2.4 ohm (30 ga Kanthal) and it's smooth milder hit at the lowest 8watt setting.

Also figured I would attach a few photos of the eGrip silicon case.

Received my egrip with rba and 510 test adaptor today. Ordered it friday from cignot for 62.00. That was fast; thanks Vicki!

Used the factory built coil and rewicked with my kgd. Cloudy at 20 watts. No leaking gurgling or dry hits. Flavor is good but has a little tinge of something weird in it. Probably should have washed it all before use. Oh well couldn't wait. Fully Stoked.

BTW, this package doesn't come with a drip tip. Used one of my soft silicone ones for super stealth. Shown next to my istick for size comparison.

Thanks to all here.

First RBA coil lasted nine days before starting to taste bad.....chipped a little gunk off the coil, and replaced the cotton, and it's back to business. Amazing.

How many fractions of a penny did that cost me? Lol.
This is why I went RBA......and flavor is SO much better than the eGo I was using.

Curious why you didn't just dryburn the gunk off and rinse with water.

Def getting a machine oil taste from the rba. It took a while for the juice and wicks to pick it up but it's getting worst by the minute. Yuck. I'll have to tear it down and clean it tomorrow. Might as well wind up a larger 2mm coil for it while I'm at it. The factory 1.75mm doesn't seem to allow for quite enough cotton to plug the juice holes completely. Gurgles every so often.

Hard to dry burn without the rba adapter... So I'm assuming they don't have one yet.

I've never bothered, but some will actually clean/reuse the cotton.

Remove the wick, reinsert the rba, dryburn for 6 sec, remove rba and rinse. Don't know if the rba adaptor is available separately but one came with my egrip/rba combo from cignot.

Lol..because I'm a total newb when it comes to rebuildables. And no, I don't have the adapter either.

When you do grab an adapter... Remove cotton, attach to a "battery" and heat it up red. Then quench in some water and watch the toxic slag explode off your coil.

Should have mentioned. Make sure the chimney section is removed before dry burning!

Also quenching a hot coil is going to make it rust. There's iron in kanthal that although is less reactive than aluminum and chromium (the other two elements in kanthal) , becomes highly reactive in the presence of water and heat. Cool your coil by blowing on it before rinsing or you will reduce its life expectancy. Just say'n
