I run mine with the RBA at 20 watts, and I consistently get half a tank before recharge - so about 1.5 mls. I'm surprised I get so little out of it, and I guess if I ran it at less watts it would last much longer! However, I'm surprised, because in one review I read he said he got two tanks out of it before recharging (he said around 8 mls) - could there be something wrong with mine?

Sounds about right... If you do the math, you are running more then double the power drain then I, and I'm getting twice or more life on my charge.

Just talked with a friend who bought it couple of days ago. He vapes at 11w and he gets around 1 and 1/4 tank before battery goes dead. I guess you can get more time by vaping at 8w.
He also told me that it's not real "passthrough" device. If your battery is completely discharged and you connect it you can't start vaping right away, but you have to wait a little bit. Can anyone else confirm this?

I'm thinking of getting it. I usually vape aroung 6 mls so I think I can get at least a half day with it.

Most, if not all pasthoughs are not really pass through.. I've had an issue with this term used on many devices since they were invented. First one being the 510 pass through.

It's a charger, you are always running off battery, so you need a little charge to get it to fire.

I'm using the stock 1.75 ohm coil that comes with the RBA base. In the evenings I frequently vape with it plugged in, though. And yes, I've run it totally down, plugged it in, and kept on vaping! If you chain vape this little thing it gets incredibly hot though:ohmy:

My stock coils tested at 1.2- 1.4 ohm

True, and even on the Egrip's lowest setting of 8 watts with a 1.4ohm build you're pulling 2.4amps. Most usb chargers supply 2.1amps or less.

My stock coils were 29awg, 10/9 wrap, .069"(1.75mm) id, and all three measured at 1.4 ohm.

How strange! I haven't tried the other two yet - and I'll have to get out some magnifiers to count the number of wraps. I did think, though, that the gauge was smaller than 29 - but I could obviously be wrong (again, need the magnifiers!). I was going to rebuild them with 28 gauge around 1.4 anyway!

Would you guys recommend this device for someone who changes flavors very often. I guess my question is how easy or difficult is it to clean the tank and could you re-wick the coil heads. I love the form factor, but i am concerned about its suitability to my vaping style.

Sorry, didn't get a chance to read the entire thread in case it has already been discussed.

Hey Cig, happy new year !

p.s. are the coild contact coils or spaced out, and how do they handle gunky juices like NET's

Kind of the wrong thread to ask...

I would guess any battery you can just have multiple carto tanks for. ego or iStick with a bunch of carto tanks?

I wouldn't change flavors in this.

Maz? Is it really you? Good to see you and Happy New Year to ya!

The little RBA rocks Maz. Easy to build and rewick (for young eyes or magnification). The deck is a miniaturized Lemo RTA deck. Flavor is on par with other RTA's and far superior to Protanks with singles. Rinsing the tank is easy enough but deep cleaning is an exercise in frustration. To remove the tank and seals the top cover must be removed. Read my previous posts here for scary details.

This thing is stupid portable and chucks it at 20w but you had better have a charger around. I mostly vape it at 14w and it makes it through one 3ml tank with no probs.

I keep the same flavor profile in mine, although I do switch flavors. I've rinsed mine out once, but it wasn't really necessary. But it's a backup to my many backups - not my adv. Like any other rbas, gunky juices will clog up the coils and need to be dry burned. I wouldn't use this for my adv because I do change flavors so often - and the capacity is too small. But that depends on your vaping style.

Thanks Cig,

I don't know much about this but thought the form factor was awesome. I would've been happy if i could dry burn and re-wick but even greater that it can easily be re-built.

I will definitely read through the thread when i have more time.

Thanks for the response Amanda. Now that i know it could be re-built i will just build the coils suitable for NET's myself. I guess i could use it only for the juices that are similar in profile.

Absolutely! It really is an awesome little flavor monster, and I was really surprised at the amount of vapor it produced even with the stock coils (not the RBA). The RBA really was a game changer for me, flavorwise!

The RBA option comes with three tensioned contact microcoils Maz. As good as anything I have seen in a factory coil. Of course you can wind spaced coils for it if you like. The replaceable factory heads (forget what they are called) didn't get very high reviews here. I don't use them either.

As for Nets I rarely deep clean tanks when swapping Net flavors. They all seem to do fine with a quick tank rinse.
