Is it me or is the rba base threaded for an air control screw but the screw isn't included

The rba floods.

I cleaned it out. Great for a few hits. Bam flooded again. Gargle Gargle. Has this been covered?

I noticed the fist time mine leaked was after a new coil in the RBA... Me being new to RBAs, I found it was me and the way I tucked he cotton.(or lack there of)
After fixing my mistake, it was GREAT again

I also learned I could tighten up the draw by how much cotton wick I used

Where did you get the ... covers may i ask?

They're not cheap but oh so classy!
I have a third party set up over in Japan that will ship to me- with a little clicking around you can set up the same thing. If you buy enough of them it's worth it. I bought three and shipping to the US was 11 bucks and it came in 2 today's after the shipping company got a hold of them - it was about a week for them to get them- so about 9-10 days to get them after you pay.
Oh, I also wrote the second review on the site (but I know a bit of Japanese having grown up there) and gave the product 5 stars.!

Any chance you could elaborate on what you did different to stop the leaking? Having the same issues...worked incredible at first, but since the first rewick, and about 37 since, I cant seem to stop the damn leaking! Even tried another premade coil, although that had way less cotton than the first which I dont think helped any. Would really appreciate any and all help...Thx!.

I haven't had any probs with mine. Once (early on) it dropped a couple of ml out the drip tip port when turned upside down, its never done it since. I have occasionally had some really minor gurgling when the tank is near empty and sitting overnight, but nothing that taking a normal drag doesn't fix. Overall very easy to live with. Its the only mod I've ever bought that gets any use at all other than my Reo's. IMO just a great little package.

For those with leaks going on, double check all the seals are in place, including the one on the very top of the RBA or coil head assembly. I have read that if the one on top is missing you can get a lot of leaking going on. With the RBA, I have only ever made sure that 2 of the 4 holes are covered with wick (I use rayon) and I have had no issues. (I'm using 50/50 juice and its the middle of summer here.)

I'm very impressed so far with this device. I'm still using the stock coil with RBA as I'm waiting on the 510 adapter. I've rewicked a few times since using rayon and kgd, muji and nakamichi cotton. All wick flawlessly in this device.

The flavour is far superior to a kayfun imho. On par with the erlkonigin but with a cleaner, crisper aftertaste.

I think a lot die hard mech/regulated device vapers may be put off by low price and brand. This device is absolutely Stella. By far the easiest rba/device I have used to date. I'm gonna be buying a lot more of these.

I got an RBA setup yesterday and am impressed, this is my first experience with an RBA.

One thing I've noticed is that it pops when I press the firing button. It only happens once and if I take another vape within a short time it does't pop. Along with the pop some moisture is expelled through the air intake. I wouldn't call it a leak as it sort of pools by the air hole. I wipe it out every few hours and even then its no more than a few drops. I guess it has something to do with the coils heating up from a cold start.

Is this normal and if not any suggestions as to what I have done wrong? When I got it I juiced the RBA down with plenty of juice and then let it sit for a few minutes after I reassembled it.

pretty sure you have a hot spot on the coil...check if all of the winds/coils are touching but one, or if one is not lined up, that kinda thing

Pretty normal on a new coil. Mine always snap crackle pop when fresh, goes away in a day.

Agreed, can't get better flavor with any of my other RTAs. The little gem just gets after it!

Off those four wicking mediums which do you feel transports juice the fastest?

I'm getting better flavour with muji but for wicking is definately rayon, a lot more vapor production....but I'm all about flavour!

I think you helped me figure out my leaking issues...took a close look and none of the air holes on my chimney line up with the coil ends...not even close. To have the wick cover two holes would mean a serious angle to the coil and long wick ends swept around. Can you guys tell me if the air holes on yours line up with the coil ends? With the chimney snug 2 of mine line up perfectly with the screws. Will have to look if rotating coil 180 so legs go in opp side will help any...?

Which of the three cotton products that you tried most reassemble the pads that came with the rba?
none have the colour of the pads that came with the device. The ones that I received are very yellowish in colour, however they look very similar in actual cotton quality to ken gen do.

Anyone know what gauge the wire is that comes with the RBA?
I'm still on the original installed one, but trying to label stuff for when I need it... if I ever do!:p

Measures with a micrometer to about the size of 29awg. Measures resistance closer to 28awg. Cheap china wire can be all over the place for res measurement. Unpredictable.....better to use Kanthal A1 from Temcoindustrialpower imo. It's cheap and reliable.....and shipping is free!
