I just received these coils in the mail and they look very different from the ones I'm used to using. Has anyone else used these? It says they're Kangers new design and oh how they need another new and improved one.

The coils are the latest but are worthless to me so far. I plan on buying just a few more from a different vendor. Not sure they will work with the Aerotank, standard, as they are made for the newest Aerotank Mega and Mini. I would like them to work with all Kanger tanks. I have 2 Mini Protank 3's that supposedly have a dual coil that are stacked one on top of the other not crossed like the new heads and the Aspire Nautilus heads.
I'm thinking all these companies went to Dual coils so they could get a lower ohm value using 30-32 gauge Kanthal.
Unless I'm missing something, the dual coils are for the Kanger Protank 3 only. They are not compatible with the Protank 1 or 2.
I just put one in my Protank 3 with the aero base and it seems to be working fine (so far). I keep avoiding rebuilding coils because of convenience but it's truly hard to keep up with everything new.....Every Single Day!!!
The box says they're compatible with any Kanger tank that uses a dual coil so NO they wouldn't fit in the Protank 1 or 2. How kind of Kanger to make that little adjustment for you.
There are now 2 completely different Kanger dual coils, as far as I know. One is for the Protank 3 and Mini Protank 3 and the other, the one pictured, is for the NEWEST Aerotank Mega, Mini and maybe the Giant or whatever they are calling it.
You just never know what your getting when you order this stuff. This is the box they came in and everything it says they're compatible with.
Well Shoot me Bertha. Maybe those new coils do work in the PT 3 standard and Mini. I'll post a picture of the Dual Coil heads I have for the PT 3 Mini when I get home.
Do those head have 4 little holes around the outside? The ones I have only have 2 holes and look shorter, IIRC.
Well here are the heads I got not 3+ weeks ago. As you will see they are Dual coil but those coils are stacked one on top of the other and not in a X pattern, crossed.

I have the same ones as you and they were bought locally about 1 month ago. Surprised to see a newer model already out.
They have 2 double holes on each side and the wicks are encased. I've been using one all day and so far so good..
Yes I have those too that's why these looked so strange to me. Time will tell if they're better or not. Fingers crossed.
I got these when i ordered my aero mini and bought extra even know im only a month into vaping they seem to perform much better than the one that came with my standard.
the single coil heads will fit any kanger device. the dual coils will fit anything that came dual. that includes the 3, aero, mini, mega, evod dual. i rebuild duals with a special shaped tall single coil made with nichrome 60. 30ga gives me a 1.3 ohm radiator coil for regulated vamos and egos. 28ga. goes lower for my nemesis w/kick v2. waiting on two dna 30 mods to arrive and retire vape spending the rest of the year.
To echo what Jon said, these coils are for anything that takes the dual coils. I picked up a new aerotank mega at the World Vapor Expo today. I asked for a box of coils and she handed me the new coils. They didn't look familiar to me, so I asked why they didn't look like the dual coils I had already. She said they were a new design.
