I have just upgraded my battery to the kanger IPOW2 VW with a kanger aerotank2. I'm not sure I fully understand variable wattage or this battery. I use 1.8ohm upgraded kanger coils, running between 7 to 8 watts according to the oled screen. I've noticed my coils creeping up in ohms. they start at 1.8 after about two tanks, they start climbing. am I burning them up? am I misunderstanding this battery? I've used variable volt bats before, but not variable wattage. I got a calculator app that I put in the volts desired, the ohm, and it gives you the wattage to use. that's how I've been doing it and now after 2 coils doing this, I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong. my all day vape is BWB malty, or malty toffee... thanks for any input guys..

All BWB liquids are higher VG - I think the malty is one of the lighter liquids though, so it will gunk up your coils, but not as fast as malty toffee will (terrific liquid by the way) which is rich, dark and sweet.

So your resistance will increase slightly over the life of the coil. So long as it's not jumping up suddenly, you should probably expect it to increase 0.1-0.3 or so over a few tankfuls. It's basically the unburnt liquid, sugars and such burning on to your coil that increases this resistance. Darker and higher VG liquids gunk coils up faster than lighter thinner liquids.

As for using the battery incorrectly, I would say you are not. But I am not sure why you are so fixated on the voltage. Just turn it to where it tastes good. As the resistance increases, your battery will adjust the voltage to keep the vape approximately the same. Part of the beauty of having a variable device is you can turn it up and down to where the vape tastes best to you.

You know you can clean and dryburn those coils to make them last longer too? A simple youtube search will reveal many videos showing how to get the most life out of them.
