Hello to Leicester!

The iPow itself is possibly not the problem, unless it's a lemon or something. Half a day doesn't seem right to me....

Have you thought about a different tank system? You could do a lot worse than pair an Aspire mini Nautilus to an iPow.

Aspire MINI Nautilus [VE745-B7] - £19.95 : Vape Escape

I never got more than a few days from kanger clearomisers it must be said. I jumped ship to Aspire products back last summer.

:)

PS - reviews about e-cigs on the internet are often fake, bogus, lies, marketing, nonsense. In fact 90% of everything you read not on a forum has got nothing to do with genuine recommendations and all about making money.
..and there a shops out there who control facebook, pay google, bribe reviewers.... all this sort of stuff.

So - Welcome. THIS is the place to be. :)

The only times kanger coils taste burnt to me is if a) I don't let the tank sit for 20 minutes or so after installing a new coil and filling. And b) when I've got my voltage or wattage set too high. I'm not sure how to adjust that on the IPOW2 though, but if you know how then I recommend start at the lowest setting and working your way up. It should be roughly 3 watts on that model I think.

In regards to gurgling and stuff. That should rarely happen with the protank 3 coils. I use the same ones in my EMOW's. But there's a few simple steps you can use to get rid of it and prevent it outright with nothing more than a kleenex or piece of toilet paper. Just roll up a corner of either tightly so you can slide it into a tube. You'll want it to be a couple inches long and thin at the end.

1) If it's gurgling while using it and it doesn't need to be refilled or anything, take the mouthpiece off the top and slide that kleenex down into the center tube stopping when you feel resistance. You don't want to force it. Then kinda twist it while removing it. If there's juice on the kleenex then you just fixed your gurgling issue.

2)When filling an empty tank, like say you just cleaned and dried it. Make sure to not get any juice down the center tube. I usually run the kleenex through there after filling to make sure.

3)If you're topping up or refilling after having juice in there, some may escape into the center tube when you unscrew it. This is normal. Do the same trick to get it out.

4) If topping up or refilling, and having done step 3 already. Do the same thing but with the center post of the coil itself. Push it in until there's resistance. Then remove. That just makes double sure that there won't be any juice sneaking through to the center tube of the tank.

5) Make sure after filling that you clean around the grooves where the tank screws into the base, if there's any in those grooves it's already bypassed the o-rings and will eventually come out where the tank screws into the base. Wipe down the bottom part where the coil sits as well for the same reason.

That all adds maybe 2 minutes to your refilling routine but will save you a from million headaches.

Good luck!

It really does come down to what wattage do you have the IPow2 set at. It's a nice little battery, but 15W is a lot of wattage when you are talking about a Kanger coil (Nautilus would be a nice atty to go on that battery at 15W, though). The adjuster dial is at the bottom of the battery, give it a twist and see what your wattage is set at. In my experience, Kanger coils tend to be OK in the 9W range. If you've been hitting your coils, particularly when dry, with 15W, then you'll pretty much instantly scorch your wick.
If your wattage is set to a reasonable value, the next step is to monitor the coil resistance while you hit the fire button (the resistance is right above the wattage reading). If you have, say, a 1.8 ohm coil installed, the resistance should read approximately 1.7-1.9 ohms, for example. If the resistance is too high or jumping, you probably have a bad connection, which is causing the battery to throw more voltage to make up the read error. Try cleaning the battery terminal, threads inside the connections (battery, atty, and coil), and atty terminal. Reconnect everything and check the results.
If your resistance reading is accurate and you are not overpowering your coils, the final step would be to check actual output voltage. You will need an inline volt meter (some shops will carry these and/or have them available to help troubleshoot your issues) for this step. Connect the battery and atty to the voltmeter and give it a fire. You will need to calculate your target voltage from the voltage/resistance setting, compare that to what is actually being output.
If everything is checking out fine, and you are running low wattage, I am absolutely out of ideas...

I recently posted a rant about the ipow2, and reluctantly I purchased another one. Right out of the box I put in a replacement coil that came with my emow tank and used it at 11. I never charged it and I was able to run a full tank of juice over 3 days. I noticed when the tank runs dry it has a burnt taste, never considered what nitro said about the coils because I'm so new to vaping. But as far as battery life that thing lasts forever. I smoke about half a pack of cigs a day, and when I run out, the ipow2 is there. Its cold out here and I noticed as im puffing it was down to 2 of 4 bars and then dropped to 1 bar, I put it down for an hour and it was back to 2 bars and stayed there for my next 2 sessions!
