So I received the new subtank with the big holes for juice channels I do have the older one and have had no issues with the older RBA but the newer one I am getting dry hits and juice is tasting bad I wonder if it's my wicks
Does anyone know is the cotton supposed to stick out of the holes on the rba or should it be flatter against the deck
This is the only reason I can think of what is making the juice taste bad
Again zero issues with the old style rba
26 kathal .05 ohms
Cotton wick
Between 17 and 26 watts
Also have tried
28 kanthal 1.4 ohms
17 watts
Cotton wick
Both these setups work fine in the older RBA
But the new one I have to rewick every day
Firing these on a vaporshark 30 watt
And the Subox the new one
Thanks for any info

Not sure if this helps but here is a PBusardo video on how he makes a coil for the Subtank mini.
I know this is on the Subtank mini but it does have the holes and I hope this helps you.

Video is on the Subox mini but go to 51::00 in the Video and he shows what to do with the holes.

I've been preparing my wicks somewhere between these 2 methods
no wick hanging out of the holes but it is aligned in front of them, hanging to the deck
My Subox RBA & original mini RBA (modified à la The Don) both work great at 29W if I'm careful.
They flow so much that I don't think it matters how much wick actually touches the deck.
Take a look between puffs and you should see what I mean.

This is what I do, And, I can vape at 50 watts no prob. Wick is always saturated and does not leak.

Hope it helps.

Forgot. 24 Guage 3mm bit, with 6 wraps. 5 Ohms
