I just bought one of these from GearBest. First purchase from there so I don't know how long it'll take. I figure I'm in no rush. I just knew that no matter how well tc was explained to me, I'm not going to "get it" until I experience it.
Quite! And to add to that its price is pretty good into the foray of the TC world and it does it as good as the next mod. My only slights against it are that battery life in TC mode is the worst out of the 3 I currently own. But it fits really well in hand, pretty comfy with the curve.

Well I did not go to bed last night dreaming of owning one, however I woke up to a coupon code at GearBest and the more I looked into it, the more it seemed to hit all the things that I liked. Good reviews. I'm so clueless on temperature control. I feel like I'm 19th century being dragged into the 21st and I skipped a hundred years or so.

I enjoy it completely, luckily when I got back into vaping for the final time I really never got into using and coiling kanthal (although I did give it a good go) but it never felt that great to me. Low and behold, there was TC, like a kick to the face from Batman (mind was stuck at that point) I took to it fairly quick.

May I indroduce you to my wife?
I guess you'd revise your answer. ;)

I'm just doing my best to encourage and support a fellow vaper. You had different purposes for each.

So I guess now the Big Question is: What will be your 1st Build?

Ni200?
Titanium Grade 1?
Something Else?

Really? You might be sorry you asked.
I ordered ni coils for atlantis and nautilus.
I'll probably get some for the subtank.
Done.

I bought some Grade 1 Ti recently and attempted my first build. Gotta say the jury is still out as I preferred the softer nickel wire. That's the only thing holding me back on it lol. But I have some Ti coils coming in with the new Evic and its worth a shot there too.

Its too early for me to say which works better. Ni200 of Grade 1 Ti ?

But the Ease of Use when building Definitely goes to Ti. I'm having a hard time making a Good Contact with Ni200 on some of my Decks. And need to File/Sand some of the Post Screws so they are Flatter.

You can't make contact coils with Ni200, @zoiDman - they will keep shorting because they don't oxidise like other wires. That's why spaced is the only configuration recommended for Ni200.

Yeah... My 1st Ni200 builds were a Disaster.

Oddly enough I really enjoy using nickel quite a bit. But interested in trying other avenues as well. Ti wire is pretty solid choice for TC I will throw that out there.

I haven't built an Ni200 coil in nearly two weeks and can't imagine doing so again for any reason other than testing. I just can't think of a single benefit it has versus Titanium, Resistherm or Stainless Steel, but can think of many downsides.

I got on with it 'OK' at first, in the sense that it was worth putting up with the annoyances versus Kanthal to get TC. But i now have all those other choices which I find much more convenient.

Call me crazy but for some reason I do prefer the softness of the metal. But at the same time what hate the most about it is have to br 100% sure connection is solid with it. Not that I'm complaining about trapping it under screw heads. If anything that right there might make me lose interest if the others maintain a far better contact.

Well the need to have a 100% solid connection is a requirement of resistance-based TC in general, that's not going to change.

However, it may get easier in practice - the other metals are a lot less likely to break, meaning one can feel safer in tightening down harder without breaking the wire, which can lead to a stronger connection and no need to re-tighten. Secondly, the base resistance of the other wires is higher - eg a single Titanium coil will usually be 0.30Ω - 0.50Ω, versus 0.05Ω - 0.15Ω for Nickel. This means that if there is an inaccurate reading due to slightly loose connection - say the mod reads it 0.03Ω too high - it's not nearly as bad, because 0.03Ω is a much smaller difference to a Titanium 0.50Ω coil than it is to a Ni200 0.10Ω coil.

But in general resistance-based TC requires solid, stable resistance readings so you still need to be sure of those coil connections.

Although I wanted to wait with a TC mod until TC is out of it's infancy shinyitis got me (that b**ch).

VF Mini is on it's way. Now I just have to figure out what Tank to buy next. Billow is out of the race. Cthulhu or Zephyrus.
(I have that obsession of buying a new atty with every mod I buy)

I really think you are Going to Like It. Even if you Don't run it in TC Mode.

I running mine with a Nichrome 80 Build right now. Just to Lazy to put a Titanium Coil in that Tank I'm Running.

I've had my eye on the Zephyrus for sometime now just can't seem to do it. Heard nothing but good things out of it here. However I'm watching out for the Goliath V2 and it's 2 different build heads, look mighty promising.
