Hi everyone! I'm Mimi, the new kid on the block here! I live in West Georgia and need a bit of help.

I own a Kanger K-Box (which I love) and recently purchased an X-Vapor Atomizer. The local store that I purchased it from has gone out of business and now I am having a hard time finding replacement coils for it. I am not interested in rebuilding it (it's a girl thing for me!) so I just want to find the replacements or a generic that I can find. Unfortunately the seller did not inform me it was rebuild-able or I would not have purchased it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
Mimi

Welcome and glad you joined.
Well, I found the Chinese company that sells 'em. However I'm not finding much joy on replacement coils. You may just need to bite the bullet and get another subtank that's more popular and you can readily get replacement coils for it.
Might want to try the search function in upper right hand corner of this post. Could type in " best low cost sub ohm tank and coils ".

Welcome @Mimi30236

Unfortunately these things do happen and sometimes shops don't sell the most widely used stuff.

It could be a great tank, but it's hard to say what you paid etc. Sometimes (and I'm not saying for sure) shops get a job lot of something cheap because there's good profit in it.
There was a period a few years ago of shops buying certain less-well-known kits for $14 and selling them for $99.99. That's the nature of the business, sadly.

I never worry about getting new tanks and have lots and lots. Some will never get used now as the replacement coils are too rare and expensive. I took a chance on a Joyetech Cubis a month ago and factored in the cost of the tank + coils over a few months given that I might not think it was much good.
It's a fine tank and even if I don't re-stock my coils (and put the tank in a box) once the 4 packs are finished, it's only a few cents per day for some easy stress-free vaping.

I think what I'm saying is I'd rather waste a $25 tank over 3-6 months and pay $9 for the coils than try to save a $25 tank buying $12 coils that are less modern or not as good to use.

Cost and availability (and quality of vaping) are reasons people get into rebuildable tanks.
For me, although I do rebuild, I can run a plug and play tank for less than the cost of one cigarette a day.

:)

Thank you so much for your time researching and advising me. They must have seen me coming! lol! I guess I just ate $25. Have a great weekend!
Mimi

I tried Googling X-Vapor Atomizer and didn't really get much back. Not a popular tank it seems. You may have to get another tank unless someone else finds replacement coils for it.

Hi there. yes, I believe you are correct. It wasn't very nice of that vendor to sell me something that would be hard or impossible to find parts for.
Thanks for your time and help!

Hi there! I so appreciate your expertise and time in your response! Everyone has been extremely helpful! If I had been more savvy I would have realized I had to rebuild this coil. live and learn! Thank you again for your help! Have a great afternoon!

Welcome Mimi ! Sounds like it may be best if you purchase another tank for it for which you can easily obtain factory coils... You can get good tanks for that particular device for a low price.
Hi and thank you for the welcome! Yes, I do believe you are right....now I have a new mission! :) thanks and have a great weekend!

Welcome to you Mimi! Many of us have similar stories. I, for one, just started reading here, asking questions, and taking notes. I only went back to the vape shop and that was to get a replacement mod because mine broke so quickly. I knew I wouldn't go back there after that because of the huge mark-up in prices.

When you decide on what you are going to get, go to vapecrawler.com and search for prices. I remember before v-crawler when people would ask, where is the lowest price for such and such? It was a race to see who could find it the fastest. Nobody has the best prices for everything, nor does anyone have everything, so their is a bit of shopping for vapers. That is just another facet of the hobby, I suppose.

I'm a re-builder nowadays. I would say that, obviously, it takes a little more time, but many find it relaxing and/or interesting. Vaping has a lot of sides to it. Cigs were sooo boring.

Have fun!
