Hey everyone, I'm relatively new to the whole vaping scene, I tried it about 3 years ago, had a few joytech(?)510 and usb pass throughs i think, can't remember well, but i remember HATING changing and filling the little carts. Lurked here a bit and never really posted back than as well. Anyhow, those couldn't keep me off the analogs and I fell back into smoking about a pack a day. 2 weeks ago, my good friend shows up with a Provari, hits incredible with these funny little tanks on top. I was convinced that e-cigs of 2012 can make me quit for sure. The volume of smoke and the satisfying hits did me in. I went the following day to the local shop my buddy purchased from (vape revolution in cerritos) and bought a zmax and the whole shibang. It's been a week now, and I've smoked about 2 puffs on 2 separate occasions, to confirm that I no longer 'love' cigs. It's a great feeling and I can safely say I know now I can quit analogs for sure.

Ps. So I've been buying a bunch of tanks for my zmax, and the vivi nova I got in yesterday doesn't seem to fire up on my zmax at all. I filled up the fluid, but it seems like the center thing isn't long enough so there is no contact. Does anyone know an easy fix or is it considered doa?

Congrats on getting back into vaping again.

Depends on the tank you're using but sometimes you need to pull the center battery end pin on the clearo/ tank down/ out CAREFULLY about 1/32" cuz it may not be making contact with the battery.

Thanks man, yeah I'll definitely try screwing the head on a bit tighter when I get home, appreciate the help. This device is amazing, it hits well and I love the tank set up, the problem is isolated to the vivi. Thanks for all the kind words!

Looking for some additional advice, any other suggestions for the top pieces? I see a lot of rebuildable ones, but I'm a bit hesitant to try it out. Is there another top set up I should try aside from the cartomizer + tank combo and what are the topper personalities like? ie: what's the consensus on the tank combo, burns to much fluid? Not as flavorful? Tons of smoke? Sorry I don't have much to compare to and I don't see the "hits" being discussed as they're pretty subjective.

What would you advise I pull it out with? Do I just take pliers to it carefully? Sorry I can't really picture it well because I left it at home today sadly.

Let me find a vid.

Edit: Although this is about pulling the Stardust clearo pin and not the Vivi pin it's basically the same idea- pulling the innermost tube out/ down a little so it makes contact with the battery:

I'll be quitting vaping and leaving ECF shortly and am just compiling a bunch of stuff for a Blog I'll leave behind...

W00t! I tried looking last night for a fix and couldn't find much about that particular issue. They should sticky this in the tank forums... unless they already do.

Vapoor eyes er,

We will miss you around here for sure!!! If you need us, you know where we will be. Good luck. You have been an AMAZING help to a lot of us when we were new and just starting out!

It was a pleasure knowing you (as much as we can actually know anyone through typing in forums), and seeing all your advice.

Take care!

Are you going to do a big estate sale when you go
LOLLL it's all being donated.

That's unfortunate, just as I was reintroduced to this world! Have you successfully weened yourself off to 0mg? What led you to quit vaping?
No if you look at my signature I'm down to 2 mg. Started at 36 mg. I had this planned pretty well from the first day I began vaping but it 's not written in stone. As I said in another post I NEVER will EVER smoke another analog again and if that means vaping for the rest of my days so be it. This next bit is all about MY VAPING PROGRAM and I don't like having another yoke around my neck. Went to the Dr. the other day and he's fully supportive of vaping but would prefer I leave it behind at some juncture BUT he also said he'd much prefer to see me vape the rest of my life than smoke...as a matter of fact he doesn't believe that nicotine is harmful...he says it gets a bad rap from being associated with tobacco....and this coming from a Dr. that treats professional athletes on a daily basis, is Team Dr. for a semi pro team and was Dr. for a Cdn Olympic Team. Originally my plan was to quit in Sept (1 yr anniversary) but no big deal that it didn't happen.

Thank you Robino...there's some people here that I will long remember and you're one of them...always polite and extremely helpful...my kind of person
It was truly a pleasure getting to know many of the fine people here too. Gonna miss it.

P.S. in honor of my 1 yr of vaping and the support and assistance I've shown to his smoking clients the good Doc donated $200 to the non profit vape program I run...coooool

Edit: NOT saying I know it all when it comes to vaping but it just seems such a waste to throw all this knowledge out the window and thus the Blog...never realized how much stuff/ info there is with the vape experience until I sat down and began to do a Blog

Needless to say there's will always be a number of people here giving advice because we are all so passionate and grateful.
