The new lay-out looks almost exactly like another e-cig forum that has been using it for a very long time.

Jerry, there are a ton of changes that all needed doing at the same time - upgrade vBulletin 3.8 to 4.0, add another server, add a CMS. It was a toss-up which way round to do it but in the end it was decided to do the CMS last.
This vB upgrade was a major version change, not a simple upgrade, and the main problem we have is that several of the plugins we use don't work now. Everything is done with plugins, and the site was heavily extended. There are issues with the blogs, social groups, Facebook connect, etc etc
Even our template doesn't work on this version of vB so it needs a bit of hacking.
There will be a lot of work to get all this running right. Then it's a tune-up of the servers. Then the CMS.
We are running on the default / basic / fallback template by the way, it's not the 'new' template or anything, just a stopgap till we can get the ECF one/s back up. This was a major upgrade and everything needs re-fixing to get us back to where we were before. But it's well worth doing because this new version allows us to use an uprated database, split the DB off the main app, and run several servers much more easily than the older 3.8 version of vB - so it's a good foundation for the future. Site traffic is doubling every year so we had to do this.

As much as I hate change I know that I usually end up liking the new version of things. Thank you for keeping it up instead of closing the site completely for a couple of days. I am trying to sell stuff and at least it is still there!! Good luck with all the work you have to do.
Well, I guess I'm the odd duck. I like the default template... looks nice and clean.
I've done a few software installations and never enjoyed messing with forums. They're fiddly and with all the plug-ins y'all run, it must be a major pain in the patootie to get them back the way you had them before the software upgrade. I like the infraction list under the profile now. I'm going to have get crackin to fill that up a bit!
Nice upgrade, I'm liking it better with every click . Today's Suppliers Posts is a nice touch, it will make it much easier to stay up to date with sales. Another plus is the little green arrow that lets me know I've posted in a thread.
