So my regular local online vape store is out of stock on LG HE4's.

They do have what they are calling the New LG HE2's. Black sleeve, same weight and size as the HE4.

They say these are now 3000mah, and better than both the old HE2 and current HE4.

Anyone had any experience with these?

I don't really need any new batteries but longer lasting batteries for the same price I was paying for the HE4's is tempting.

I far I as know, the new HE4's are in YELLOW wrappers.

They are the exact same size and specs as the HE2's, but a newer chemistry makes them 1 gram lighter than the older HE2's. Maybe the newer chemistry improves internal resistance, I haven't seen or made an attempt to find a super detailed review that tests that, because I've a stockpile of 25R's that will do me just fine for at least another year.

But yeah, that's it.

Cheers

The battery tests.. Don't look great. Especially when compared to the 25R or HE2.

I say skip it. Get an HE4 or an HE2 (or a 25R). It's tried and true (and cheap on Illumn).

@nyiddle

Do you have the graph for the HE4?

Many graphs.

To summarize, the HE4 tests just about the same as the HE2 but has an overall higher C rating (meaning it can safely discharge amperage at a higher rate) and appears to be better at handling high temperatures (which is good if you're demanding high amps).

Yeah.. it didn't make sense to me as a product or naming scheme, but after seeing the link, I see there is a battery labeled HG2. Not a new HE2.

Hence the confusion.

Searching the web, all I see so far is alibaba type bulk orders for it. I'd wait it out, just like any new battery models, to get the word back from the guys who thrive off of testing these things.

See my above posts. Tests say, "Skip the HG2, go with an HE2/HE4."

Oh no doubt. Had the page open in a background tab, and replied before refreshing, so I missed your posts.

Like I said, I'm fine with a small stockpile of 25R's. They're great batteries and in abundance.

I just noticed the thread title said "New HE2", and thought to myself that it makes no damn sense. So I replied. Slight confusion ensued... these things happen on the interwebz. lol

No biggie, just figured I'd give ya a direct answer. I'm glad we have people like the KidneyPuncher folks to test batteries (and be honest about the results).

Like they hyped those SubOhm cells (obviously rewraps) 'till they tested them and then they kind of came out and said, "Yo, just go with 25R's because that's what these cells probably are." I've seen other sites saying, "WE TESTED THESE CELLS AND THEY'RE THE HARDEST HITTING BATTERIES ON THE MARKET."
