I've got a black satin mini and up until now I thought I would get the brushed ring, but the black looks good! How close of a match would you say it is?

Not perfect but close enough. It's smooth poly compared to the satin on the unit. Fits like a glove. I wish they were cheaper so I could get a handful of them because I know I'm going to lose it eventually.
