New LR Atty, Do I need to prep it?

Just got in an LR atty from BWB with my liquid order. Do I need to prep it in anyway? Or do I drop in a few drops and vape away? This one looks different than the one I got with my Ego. Seems to have some sort of polyfill or something in it. Here is a pic, the atty on the right is the new one:

When I get a new atty I blow through the battery end into a paper towel to make sure it is dry, put on a few drops of juice and take a number of "non inhale" puffs. There is some kind of grease or liquid in the atty when you first get it that tastes nasty. You'll know if you taste it.

I'm just getting into attys so others may have more specific advice.

put your drip tip on top 3 to 4 drops in there and enjoy!

Mmmm...Tasty. Caramel Cappuchino from BWB. Tried it on both the original atty and the new LR, and the LR atty really puts out more vapor, and I can taste the caramel a lot more. Really puts the original atty to shame.
