thank you veryone, i am new here, good forum for "smokers" like me!:p

I wonder, what grades should new member reach before they can post on section like National forum?

Another question, E-cigar is new stuff to me, though I heard of it years ago, I want to know will it help me quit my smoking as the seller claim? I am heavy smoker, and I cannot stop it though I hate myself for this:evil:

look forward to your help, guys

E cigs worked for me. I was a 2.5-3 pack a day smoker and it took me 1 week to switch over completely. The day I got my 1st kit in the mail I had 1 pack of camels left. Every day I smoked a camel or 2 when I woke up, vaped my e cig all day and then smoked a camel or 2 before bed. I killed that pack on 7/28/12 and haven't had a cigarette since. Hope that helps ya.

Hello and welcome!:)

You will need to make 5 posts in the "New Member" Forum (and wait until the server updates at :25 past the hour) before you can post in most other forums on this site. New Members - "How many posts do I need to..."

Yes, you too can be successful stopping smoking by using an e-cigarette. Hopefully when you are able to post over in the Korea Forum you will be able to find out where you can purchase a good starter setup and eliquid.

If you are interested in learning more about e-cigarettes (and all the parts and pieces) below are some blog posts by ECF member Baditude that I highly recommend for someone new to vaping and/or looking to upgrade.

1. A Good Starter's Setup for a Beginning Vapor
2. Advancing Up the Vaping Ladder with Egos and Mods
3. Proper terminology - Is it a carto, a tank, or what? A Guide to Juice Attachments.
4. Something Safe for Cinnamon and Citrus Flavors

And here are a few more on "vaping terminology".

1. A – Z E-Cig Glossary
2. e-Cigarette Jargon and Terms – eCig 101
3. Vaping Glossary - what does it all mean?
4. ECF Abbreviations 101

#4 is very handy when trying to decipher ECF members "slang" -- i.e the informal type of communication many members use on forums such as this.

I was able to quit smoking after about a week of vaping also. I had to start with 24 mg nicotine to get the satisfaction that I had enough nicotine I smoked 2 packs a day. The best advice I can give you is to get a couple flavor you like so you can switch up if you get bored with one, after a few weeks cigarettes stink and taste like chemicals

Hi cigarflying,

Welcome to ECF!
Sometimes at the beginning, I felt a little silly vaping in public too....but I got over it. I don't smoke, I don't stink, I feel better, and can smell and taste better, I don't give money to companies I don't like...nothing silly about that, it's a miracle.

Good luck!
:)

Like Susan said, once you can post to other areas of the forums, definitely check out what your available options are for a mod and tank combo.

With the right hardware and a handful of liquids you truly enjoy, quitting will be a snap.

You can do it, sir... Patience and faith in yourself to do so will help you along the way.

Best wishes and good luck!

I quit the day I started vaping. I was 2 packs a day of cigarettes for years. I started at 12 nic (but I smooked light cigarettes). Some pointers -

Don't let yourself get to a point where a cigarette/cigar is the only option. Always have minimum of 3 batteries on you, one to vape, one to charge, and one for emergencies in case one happens to break. If you have a dead battery and no back-up, you'll have a cigarette.

Have a home charger, a car charger, and a charger at work (or wherever you spend your days).

Always have a spare empty tank on you in case a coil breaks/bungs up. If you don't and it breaks, you're back to a cigarette.

Never let yourself run out of supplies. Always know how much you have and always carry some on you.

Never say never, lol. When I would crave a cigarette, I'd tell myself I could have one if I wanted to, but that first I had to take 5 hits off the vapor. I'd have a cigarette and lighter on the table ready to go, take my 5 vapor hits, and be like "okay... I can wait. I don't need the cigarette right now." It sounds silly, but it really works.

Good luck!!!!!!!

The transition to vaping from smoking ~ a pack a day for 15 years was very easy for me. In less than a year I'm down to 0 Nic except on a few choice flavors that are only available with Nic (3mg). My brother was able to transition overnight as well. I've lead almost a dozen smokers including heavy(2-3 pack a day) smokers to vaping and either achieved complete transition or almost there (less than 1/2 a pack/day).

Welcome to the forum, I smoked a pack a day since I was 16 and I am 51 now. I bought an Innokin vv v3.0 July 3rd and have not had a cigarette since the day I bought the vv v3. I knew I would need another devise as I would have to charge my vv v3 daily, thank goodness you can use the vv v3 while it's charging. I just received my Innokin MVP 2.0 yesterday and they both have been great products. I strted with 24mg tobacco juice, and 24mg blueberry cheesecake juice from a local vape store. When the cravings hit grab the vaporizer and vape it away. I know you can succeed just keep with it.

I quit in one day after many years of smoking. It was an absolute miracle, and something I literally prayed for. It's been almost 5 years now and I am still amazed I haven't had a cigarette in almost this long. I'm just dumbfounded, frankly. And...the icing on the cake is that vaping is about 100% more fun than smoking ever was. Just wait until you learn about all the better, more powerful mods and find some ejuice you really like. You'll be amazed. cigarflying, I wish you all the luck (blessings) in the world. :)
